Both the "Republic gunship" and this ship are called LAAT gunships. One is the LAAT/i (Low Altitude Assault Transport infantry) and this one is LAAT/c (LAAT carrier)

God, I would LOVE to see a minifig scale version of a HAVw A6 Juggernaut. I mean, judging by the fact that those vehicles are almost as tall as an AT-AT, and WAY more massive... It'd be an impressive build for sure.

They did build them like this in the 2000’s. There was a better official version of this which had a better built in carrying handle and more stability

Hey Brickvault, love your custom Star Wars Mocs. I had an idea of a different Star Wars moc you could do. Since there are certain droids in several official LEGO sets that are brick built, like the droideka/destroyer droid and the GONK droid, you could do a collection of custom brick built droids on your store. Thought it would be an interesting idea you guys could do, like to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great work.

There was an official lego version of this that came out in the early 2000’s with a built in carrying handle. Personally think it looks a little better

I disagree. I haven't seen anybody do a full comparison video, but looking at images side by side, the MOC is more screen accurate, and has better SNOT-work than Lego's. The MOC's lift-arms also look more "finished" than Lego's, and the undercarriage scaffolding is cleaner. I do agree that Lego had a better carrying-system, and that the guns on the Lego one looked a bit nicer. However, since the MOC is meant for display more than play, and is built larger to be in scale, I am willing to forgive both drawbacks.
