Follow along as I modify my stock Jeep JKUR exhaust with a 4-inch S/S Magnaflow muffler. I included sound clips of the exhaust in different configurations including factory-resonator w/stock muffler removed, factory-resonator followed by Magnaflow muffler dumped before the rear axle, and factory-resonator followed by Magnaflow muffler w/stock tailpipe & factory muffler removed; all from outside the Jeep. I also have footage/sound clips of inside the Jeep accelerating both normally & aggressively.
Aftermarket Magnaflow "kits" run in the ballpark of $450-$500 for pretty much the exact same thing...your factory exhaust is already stainless-steel (S/S), so why not utilize it?
I'm not a SkullCandy salesman, nor am I sponsored by them in any way, but I found that the Crusher Wireless headphones (or similar audio device that has good bass response) reproduce the actual exhaust tones quite well & I recommend listening through something similar to get the full-affect of how the exhaust sounds.
I welded my system together in the video, but a clamp system could also be used if you put a couple of opposing longitudinal-slits in each end of the muffler mating flanges & clamped them down.
