I have come to love the stub nibs on my pens i write in my notebooks with. I loved my Conklin Endura 1.1 stub the first time I used it, glassy smooth. Thank you for the run down on the nib grinds. I was considering picking up either a zoom or a music nib for my next special purchase.

The most informative video on custom grinds... Thank you. Plus your penmanship is stunning. Do you ship to India?

Thank you so much for the kind words. Shipping to India is not a problem but the shipping charges can be high in some cases. I will be happy to discuss details by DM or email. I also have a contact form on the website.

Thank you kindly for this video, it is helpful in understanding these two specialty nib grinds. After Christmas I will be sending you my vintage Sheaffer Targa Tortuoise Lacque fountain pen with 14kt gold inlaid nib which I dropped as a 17 year old and damaged the nib. It hasn't been used for 35 years except until recently when I started collecting and educating myself. The nib needs restoring, and there is a chip on the lacquer on the barrel and a scratch just under the top of the clip both showing a yellow colour beneath...What is your process? How do I send my pen to you for restoring the nib and chip/ scratch? I was referred to you by all in the fountain pen community.

Fascinating, Salman. In the fine and extra fine italic grinds, how are they for flourishing? Does the ink flow evenly, without skipping, for larger free-arm flourishing? It’s beautiful for the smaller flourishing you show in this video. Your running hand is absolutely breathtaking.

Thank you so much for the kind words Debi. Yes, the finer Italic grinds do write/flourish well at speed on smooth paper. I just tried it with some flourishing at full speed at A5 size and did not have any problems.

Do you offer a combination Architect grind for a Bold to Medium reverse writer?
@stevenkravitz63773 жыл бұрын
I'm just curious, what exactly is an engineer's grind? I saw it on your website and I was curious as I've never heard of that grind before.
@TorontoPenCompany3 жыл бұрын
An Engineer's grind puts down a medium/fine line when writing normally and writes like an Architect grind on the reverse. It is essentially an Architect grind turned around 180 degrees :-)

Do you have an experience in converting pens nibs to fit the Arabic calligraphy?
@avikbhattacharjee22202 жыл бұрын
This is one of best demonstrations available in YT. Please suggest if you know someone in your calibre available in India to whom I can send my writing instruments for desired fine italic and fine cursive variant.
