Hey that's a nice sitrex rake made in Italy 👍 They are really nice rakes & built heavy 👍 I've got a new Holland 12 wheel but it's really a sitrex rake just like your rhyno 14 wheel but they are really heavy duty rakes & it's nice that you are advertising rhyno for them 👍
@canvids17 жыл бұрын
Ryan that rake is a monster and does a great job. I think overall it will save time in the field and money for fuel. a great video.
@wyattritter64737 жыл бұрын
you should put your GoPro on the back of the tractor and make a time lapse of the hay going through the rake. it's very satisfying!!

Hey that's a really nice sitrex rake, they are made in Italy... rhino just puts there name on it just like my new Holland 12 wheel duravee which is also a sitrex rake made in Italy... They are awesome rakes but they do get alot of dirt n rocks & sticks in your windrows! 👍

It looks like you almost need another round to make the headlands wide enough to turn that thing around. I like how the tandem dolly wheels on the front pivot so effortlessly and are kept so far away from your drive tires.

Also almost to 100k congrats

could you do a video about the 2 wheels in the front and it looks like those center wheels like to wrap
@cleaterose59147 жыл бұрын
this video prompted me to web search custom farming. Interesting, maybe you can do a video about that, outlining how you define what services you provide without getting nickel and dimed to death, and customary practices.

your doing raking today yesterday i got my field all taken care of and what i did is rake and baled the whole field just beat the rain last night.

Great video Ryan, except when you must have had the camera on your head, made me dizzy when you were looking back and forth so much. The rake looks like a keeper.

I’ve never ran a wheel rake that big so I’m curious what is the purpose of the two small wheels that are near the front of the rake on the tongue?
@scottsklerek7 жыл бұрын
are you guys going to use the 4640 for mowing this year or the 7600 like the other years?
@corbysherman47107 жыл бұрын
Can I use one of those to rake my leaves in the fall?
@karlbrohammer91057 жыл бұрын
Do you make one or two passes to clean up the headlands to allow adequate room for baler unit turning w/o cramping the unit? High capacity windrows for larger baler? Nice vid.
@HowFarmsWork7 жыл бұрын
+Karl Brohammer One pass or two if needed.

& if you don't believe me, just look at your stamp it will say it's made in Italy... New Holland, rhino & many more brands don't make wheel rakes but it's nice that you are advertising for rhino 👍

Is it ever a concern with your baler that it's taking too 'big of a bite,' that the windrow is too large?
@prkrngr277 жыл бұрын
That's a better windrow than OLF!

What exactly is custom raking? Is that when you mow, rake and bail someones else's field...and is it for their use or yours?
@tysonlewis73067 жыл бұрын
Jim Estep he's raking somebody else's field and I don't know if the farmer will pay HFW but the other farmer will get all the profits not ryan. And it's for the other farmers use

One question - how do you decrease the width of a row with your custom rake
@HowFarmsWork7 жыл бұрын
How do we decrease the width of the windrow? By narrowing the swath control.

@JCB411abuser7 жыл бұрын
that looked pretty green was it for hay or haylage?
@jasonconnolly57667 жыл бұрын
JCB411abuser he said hay
@JCB411abuser7 жыл бұрын
Jason Connolly but americans call alot of things hay, it's not always dry hay. like how we call all fermented feed silage in Europe and haylage is partially fermented grass silage, yet in the USA silage is feremneted corn or maize, haylage is fermented grass or alfalfa, but they sill call the grass in the field hay, where we would only refer to it as grass.

what is a custom raking? Is that because the farmer needed a good raking done and didn't have one? Or is there something more to it? Sorry, new to a lot of terms you guys use lol I am prob thinking more into it than I need to haha
@JamesOBrien22537 жыл бұрын
basically Ryan will rake the field for another farmer and gets paid for it. the farmer keeps the hay

@eddeetz4937 жыл бұрын
Tell Wes to bring a trailer to haul back logs cut to 10 ft and painted on the ends with anchor seal. He mills them and brings back 50% of the hardwood lumber to next year's farm day along with a few more slabs and rough cut lumber you could use and sell at farm day this year. He,cant afford tp not make the trip. Add a timber frame workshop and let the students and teachers build replacement barns at Travis place first recycling wood from old barn. Spray with a mildeside and,orange oil and,then retest for pathogens. Materials expense would pay for the mill and or seek a sawyer partner that bird dogs trees, customers and profits.

You are paid to do the farm work with your equipment. It has tax advantages for the owner of the land as apposed to renting the land out and they don't have to buy the equipment or do the work.
