The lowering kits come with the long bolt because they’re should be a thick washer to use as a spacer between the inside of the shock and the mount. If you look at the shocks you can see they’re kicked out.

They need to make mini set of visegrips. Pocket size , for pinching gas lines for I stalls. Nice build , that's awesome the videos for other folks doing there own builds too!

I used that same lowering kit on my 06 street glide.unfortunatly it was bottoming on the back finder enough to ruin the taillight harness. Re wired it outside the finder and went with some progressive slammers

I used the same rear light kit on my bike. Twice! Automotive adhesive didn't bind well to the paint, both came lose,wires broke. Epoxy is best. That was my problem with those lights for me. I went back to stock taillights after that. Bike looks amazing. Good job. And....some of the l.e.d. lights failed. But man they look good while they work.

When you mount the fender, do you have to drill the hole through the plate? Are the other holes pre-drilled?

It’s just a stiffer ride if that makes sense. Nothin major and nothing dangerous. We’re not getting on anything with a death wobble 🤪

I have a road glide with a similar 23”. The road glide fairing is pretty busted up. I like the road king style. It’s a 2000 model. Would you repair the road glide or do the road king nacelle? It’s stretched with a razor pack and 42” fishtails.

After market fairings are cheap, if you go to a road king you’ll lose your gauges.

I have this exact bike. I am going to try a gloss black plastidip on the dash. I get blinded from the sun hitting that chrome and it gets you right under your glasses. Plus a little extra black to offset so much chrome will look nice.

With a 23" wheels, do you need to take the triple trees? Almost do you have a website with used Harley parts? I'm looking for a Road king tank with fuel gauge for my wife's sportswear. Gonna require a little fab work but will change the look of her bike and ride further.

Once the tire expands do to speed it will rub your fender, way to close

If you loosen the bolts and push it all the up and then tighten it may give you some additional space.

I’m doing a 23” front wheel conversion with left rotor only on a 2009 road king the problem I’m having is the caliper won’t mount ? It’s like the wheel needs to get moved over to the right a bit , the wheel spacers are on the correct way and the rotors are the same as the obese that were on the 21” wheels I removed , at im missing something ? Any information would help , thank you in advance

It’s different every time. Anytime you replace the wheel, you’re going to have to change the spacing as well as the rotor spacing too.

Budget Rebuilds if a 23"wheel can be installed without triple trees it is possible to install a 26" wheel with a triple tree for 23" wheel (sorry for my English I am French and do not master all the words) thanks for your answer
