I made new video about Custom shoes sewing with design look like "Vans old skool". Sometimes I crafted leather shoes and leather sneakers. I try using popular design of sneakers and change colour, materials and sole.
In my video you can see how leather sneakers are made. I sewing and making custom vans because it is very recognizable design. All leather shoes and custom sneakers in my channel it is handcrafted product. I try to show some details of making process. I can not find similar sole. Maybe i will make Jordan 3 with other sole)) There are still so many shoes to make, but Jordan 3 will be on the list of projects

@@leathercrafttogether8356 thank you...how so you Make a sneaker toe cap and heel stiff and hard..also.what's the best glue to use...

@@leekotvfilms5236 For toe puff i use pvc , a material that, under the influence of hot air, becomes the desired shape. For stiffener i use material Melamin Petex that wich softens with ethyl acetate and then hardens. In the process lasting, I use polychloroprene glue (yellow or honey clolour). And for installing the sole polyurethane glue (white colour)

@@leekotvfilms5236 I did not use the 3D printer, although it seems to me it will be interesting. Technologically, using a 3D printer raises many questions. It seems to me that creating a shoe in a 3D printer requires a team (a shoe designer, process technologist and specialist in materials)

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I use 3 types of glue. During sewing, this is rubber glue. During lasting process ( when I put the shoe upper on the shoe last ) its polychloroprene glue. For the sole I use polyurethane glue. Brands : Kenda Farben, Bochem Botern GTA and other . These types of glues is standard for shoe production

Can you show the whole process?.. like the insertion of the EVA foam and how you get the seamless fold from the outer to inner leather ankle area

I used sewing machine Typical GC0303, thread type 40, needle type 150. To create shoes, other parameters of the needle and sewing machine are better.

Hey. Thanks for the comment. I have an idea about simple and similar projects. I’m waiting for the end of quarantine because I need to replenish supplies and update some tools. I will make simple sneakers for begginers in June

wicked! ive always wanted to learn how to make shoes but i dont find the tools and stuff you need to be able to make them. Can you list them?

Hi. Tool: cutting knife, knife for squaring the edges of the skin, cobbler knife, cobbler hammer, shoe last, pliers for lasting, hole punch (for shoelaces), sewing machine, iron pin for shoe last (10:30 in video) Materials: leather for upper shoes, leather for linning, leather board or fat leather for midsole, formoplast and thermoplastic for reinforcing the back heel of shoes and toe of the shoe, nails for shoes, 3 type of glue (rubber glue, polychloroprene glue, polyurethane glue), soles (polyurethan or rubber or EVA) I hope I haven’t forgotten anything, that’s almost all that I use

Nice work I know how to make shoes and pattern but never tried (i visited factories many times) as i know in factories they have machines for toe puff, stiffener attaching They use PVC for toe puff and sugar coated for stiffener Here what material you using for Toe Puff & Stiffener

Thank you so much. I use almost the same materials. For toe puff i use pvc , a material that, under the influence of hot air, becomes the desired shape. For stiffener i use material Melamin Petex that wich softens with ethyl acetate and then hardens. You can use leather for such purposes or leather cardboard, but I do it almost the same way as in factories because this technologies is more reliable and the mass of shoes does not increase.

Can i use full grain leather to make the midsole? If not then what leather should i use to make the midsole? Also can you please tell me what thickness the midsole should be?

You can use leather for the midsole. Thick and tough leather is required (3-4 mm thick)
