I did like the first iteration of the sept symbol, but I guess the second is more streamlined. The petals are the sphere expansions while the circle, or core, is the tau homeworld.

Oh yeah, love these videos! Custom armies are the best. As for resin printing in cold weather, many people swear by heating the resin up by submerging the bottle in a hot water bath before printing, and then letting the heat generated by the printing process do the rest of the work in keeping the resin warm.

You guys should consider a small heater for in side your resinprinter enclosure. It heats up the resin and the enclosure. The heater contains a Thermostat so the temperature is fairly constant. Google resin printer heater and you'll find the heater under several brandnames. They all look the same. Snazzy white with a red display

I love you guys but if that was a standard town water piped sink, print water down the drain is a big no no. Even using 'water washable' the water still needs to be treat exactly the same as dirty ipa would be (let it mostly evaporate and then dispose of the solid/semisolid remains at a disposal site).

RE: temperature and adhesion and stuff - there are a few things you can do to alleviate this problem. Some people have had success with using home-brewing thermal belts, wrapped around the vat, to keep the vat and rein temperature warm. Others get grow-tents for plants, and put the entire printer in there. Just a thought!

Regarding printing in the cold, I can recommend a vat band, been printing throughout this Tassie winter and it's been great resin stays at around 25 degrees and the prints have been perfect, which was not the case last winter without the band

Once again I'll recommend the channel Artisans of Vaul for guides on making stuff in Blender for 3D printing specifically for 40k scale wargaming (28-32mm), I highly recommend his video "the Do's and Dont's of Booleans' for beginners.

That *shiiing* sound effect hurt my ears being used throughout the whole video, but the end result looked pretty dope! The samurai/sakura theme came together beautifully on the model(s), and is fitting the wh40k theme nicely. Now all we need is a new campaign with it! (Perhaps a roleplay session with the models included?)

Just a heads up, you are not supposed to be pouring resin or the water you rinse your prints down the drain. its bad for the water supply, read the safety sheets on resin its nasty stuff.

Just got into 3 D printing and quickly realized that I’d have to spend an addition 30 to 40 dollars and get a vent for the room I’m 3D printing in.

Yeah....be VERY careful with that, you're going to want to fully enclose the printer and then have an extractor sucking out the fumes if you're printing in a space you frequently use (like in a studio apartment). Resin fumes are hellaciously toxic and we don't know the long term affects of exposure to resin fumes (either way it's not going to be good). Considering most people wear a respirator whilst taking out their prints/pouring in the resin...so yeah just...be very careful.

Fun fact, medieval Japan didn't have mass battles, so they didn't develop traditional shields like we see in the rest of the world. In fact, their large shoulder pads are a substitute for shields.

Fun fact: You're wrong. Ancient Japan used handheld shields, but they were phased out from around 500 AD and onwards when cavalry and later the introduction of the samurai caste proved the most efficient power modifier on the battlefield. Handheld shields are ineffective against cavalry, so the foot-soldiers (later Ashigaru) became mostly pikemen. They did still use stationary shields though, for their archers and later musketeers. Another fun fact: The T'au were inspired by China, not Japan.

Did you cured the miniature before washing it down the sink ???? If not, never EVER wash an uncured resin down the drain ! Even washable ones ! The water need to be disposed correctly !
