We traveled to Ducati Detroit to have Brentuning remote custom tune the 2018 BMW S1000RR for 93 octane and E85 fuel. The bike runs much better now!

Right just shows how much of a fraud they really are. They claim 220whp with cams. I guess the cat is out pf the bag huh lol

@@trillabp3971 Well you are wrong they only claim that with the flash tune not a Power Commander piggyback fuel controller. There is a big difference between adjusting fuel only and doing fuel / timing / throttle body tuning and removing other restrictions built into the factory ECU. Also running E85 without adding timing is pointless that is what E85 is good for allowing the engine to add timing increasing power without the risk of engine knock.

Sorryimtruthful My prediction was 197 whp on e85, but a safe 192 is great, and it has some excellent torque. This is why I was saying for a while that they should go the e85 route.

Last month I did a full stock 2017 S1000RR , I installed a full Arrow exhaust system , Spring air filter and Rapidbike EVO w/My TuningBike, and at the Dyno today it pull 187hp to the rear wheel. Using WAWA 91 octane gasoline and in Florida hot weather.

This bike should be able to generate this power with an exhausted in ECU Flash. With race cams and E85 I was expecting a lot more horsepower into the 200. The new GSXR 1000 is making 196 with a full exhaust and ECU flash on pump gas.

They didnt yet unlock ECU for 2017 and 2018 S1000RR, so it isnt flashed. It just got PCV to adjust fuel mapping but there is still restrictions in ECU like throttle closing at higher rpms and similiar things. On Brocks channel there is a video about new GSXR1000 and it shows how throttle blades are closing on higher rpms even with throttle pinned. Brock was able to get about 15hp just by removing that restriction on GSXR and prevent throttle blades from closing on higher rpms. In my opinion this bike, with all upgrades 650ib did, is cappable of 200whp, and it should make that once the ECU get flashed

THE SLAYER-BMW THE SLAYER-Z06 ya well theres 3 hours of you tube videos from brocks performance that says otherwise. Although to be fair there was a power commander as well. 2017 gsxr 1000 got up to 204 on mr12 at the rear wheel. I get it different bike different dyno maybe ducatis dyno is conservative and brocks is generous. If this ecu isnt flashed then I would definitely say major performance was left on the table maybe 15 hp.

Racer X don't fall victim to marketing...Brock's dyno reads high...which sells products. Don't believe me, think back to the 06-07 era where the zx10r was "making" 170+HP on the magazine dyno...all marketing hype...today's bikes barely hit 170whp on an honest dyno...I'll reserve judgement for the new gixxer until I race one or see one on a dyno that isn't financially beneficial to the person dynoing it. 192whp on e85 with race cams... what a kick in the dick. words can't describe how bad the bike needs a flash. assuming it is still closing the throttle down like it was on the dyno at brocks performace, it should make good power once unlocked.

I told you..... The bike needed hp unlock and rck3 . Lmao Bike gained 10 hp with cams and e85. Hp unlock would have easily gained 10+ whp just with a full system. Pointless to install cams with obvious throttle restrictions

Yes Brentuning is great , if you have a new Aprilia Tuono the flash that the have for it is a must . Best mod you can buy for that bike.

5UP honestly Steve you and IB are the reason I went with Brentuning seems like they have their stuff together.. The 17 Tuono has way to many things that can go wrong to just let anyone make a map for it .

I was expecting more power something like 200 whp, With cams, full exhaust, e85............but I know that this bike is going to be fucking fast, but the numbers dont make justice to the hard work that you put into the engine. with cams and tune only won 5 hwp to me that is not worth the money . But great video as always.

unfortunately 2018's ECU hasnt been cracked yet for the flash. once that is done i bet with all those mods it will reach 198-200whp+

ashish kumar yes the 17-18 s1k ecu has been cracked. Lol Hilltop motorcycles has a flash. Besides BMW has a flash and calibration kit in their hp unlock and rck3.

You are making me reconsider spending money on power up grades I though with all the work it would be over 200 easy on pump fuel why spend all the money on extra parts for just a few go not worth the money stick it on the bottle or a turbo I am very disappointed it is a very beautiful bike but beautiful does not win smackdowns

I am surprised the auto-tuner got within 2hp of a custom tune....although the AF was all jacked....has it been run for a while beforehand?? (I know the auto-tuners need to be ridden quite a while to build a proper tune is all). I loved the wipple on the Denali also!! That thing was a rocket to get to haul grocery's in!!! WOOT!!! Great show ib!!

Dyno results were very disappointing. I was expecting a lot more do to numbers people claim to get with just a ecu flash. All that money was wasted on cams. Hopefully the E85 will be promising, but I doubt it.

e85 and race cams, yet its only pushing 190 at the wheel? thats seems rather low, could just be the dyno and altitude, but here in florida that setup would make well over 200.

i think bren tuning is just shit tuning. i know a guy with the same setup and at bren tuning it made 234 lol high af dyno. and e85 typically gets 8-9whp alone. dude got 2whp from e85 lol what a joke.

I got to see in person and sit on the V4s at my local dealer. Its a very nice looking bike and felt nice to sit on lol. Unfortunately no test rides though. Probably for the better as its just a little out of my budget ;-)

Power commander is not for 17 or 18 rr model. Get a rapid bike racing fuel managment system. Or hp calibration rck3. Map it and should get 215 -20 with them cams fitted. if I was a customer I be asking for my money back. To get that work done on engine for some good cams like Webber or alpha racing and springs and fitted prob talking 4500 to 5000 uk pounds. In future tuning a Beemer contact alpha racing. Lol I would be pissed off if it only pulled 190hp 😂✊️💨👎

Would recommend using parts for the fuel system that can be used with e85. Otherwise it’s gonna eat away at shit.

I've got the 18 model with 12000km was rideing home in the rain in rain mode and noticed it was a big gerkey at 2000 rpm in traffic. not fun ..in neutral at 2000 rpm the needle jumps around a little. not smoothly reving is this normal. .my hayabusa is way more constant smooth at 40 kph. ???

Hmm I'm told there is no PCV for 2017 and newer S1000RRs yet that is what they're using to tune the bike.

Hmmm, brentuning got 236hp on THEIR dyno with e85 module and e85 fuel. I thought that was a lot of hp for electronics and e85. Well which is accurate??

Richie Rich I tend to agree now that Ducati has made a speciale bike with this V4 to be 216BHP bone stock ..cause I thought the S1000RR will be close to it's power.

Bretuning got 236 out of 1000rr. I was thinking of doing the e85 module and cam from them when they claimed 236hp, but now I see 46hp LESS, whats up with that!!! Different dyno, pushed numbers, what??

@@Plutopusher yes it is lol e85 needs much more fuel to make power. tuning 13.1 on e85 is retarded and will net very small gains. most tunes for e85 you go for a 8-9 not 13......

Why doing Auto Tune and cutom dyno tuning? Can auto tune make and correct fuel map without dyno tuning? Can you do modifications like exhaust and get the auto tune to correct mapping, will it be enough?

To buy cams like Webber or alpha racing and get them fitted and engine work thAts about 4500 uk pounds. If my bike pulled 190 hp after that I be pissed lol. They are using a power commander what ain’t even made for the 17-18rr. A new rr with a rapid bike racing module Or a hp calibration rck3 Full race Exhaust AirFilter Custom Map 200 hp With cams should be 220

I agree something is not right with the setup. Did they even get the ECU unlocked? I know for a while no one had a way to unlock them.

I thought those numbers where way low as well with all that's done to the bike. It seems like the cams really didn't do much at all. However, whoever gets the bike won't have any complaints. It's still a cool build.

650ib I need some expert advice, found a used BMW HP4 for sale It's either the HP4 or an S1000RR for my next bike and I figured you having owned both could give some insight on what would be a better buy? The HP4 is obviously a bit more expensive in this case by about $5000 extra is it worth the price over a premium model S1000RR with lower mileage?

192hp with race cams and e85? That doest seem right.. Brentuning reached 220+hp with flash stage 2, full system, mr12.. go to his channel or website.

you believe everything you see online? especially from someone dyno-ing their own product?!....that graph is in STD...and who knows what the correction factor is, because the run conditions aren't shown....so, the s1000 definitely isn't making 220hp with stage 2,3,4,100 flash, cams, or special gas...LOL...not on an accurate dyno anyways. MR12 is oxygenated and adds HP, STD shows more HP than the industry standard SAE that should have been used, and who knows where the dyno stack is located and if it's even calibrated correctly....don't fall for the hype...185whp on a good day for this bike without the dyno trickery, don't believe me, tell them to take it to the track and watch the trap speeds ;-)

@@Migycrz well, big numbers sells parts/services in this game. If you notice, people like me started calling bs on all of the inflated numbers, so now you hear these "tuners" throw around the phrase "all dynos read different" or "a dyno is just a tuning tool"... that's their way of keeping their high numbers. Fact is, if the drum is properly calibrated and the stack module isn't placed in places conducive to high dyno numbers, dynojets will read pretty close numbers wherever they are when SAE settings are used. I've dyno'd my bike at a reputable shop in California, then again in South Carolina at another reputable shop...numbers were within a few HP of each other. It's all about the setup, be it due to tuners not taking the time to setup properly, or purposely manipulating the setup to show big numbers...everyone you just mentioned dyno just so happens to read "high"...coincidence or tool to "sell HP"? Trust me, I've been in this game for a while, it's funny when someone shows up to the drag strip bragging about how much extra HP they gained from running this exhaust and having this person tune their bike, then get drug down the track by another same make bike with same weight rider, running "inferior" parts/tune AND making 20whp less on someone else's dyno...e.t. is irrelevant, but the MPH at the end of the 1/4 mile isn't 😉...can't fudge physics 😁

@@sc63sr20det i agree. I guess is convinient for them to sell service and parts. But how can you know when you are in a legit dyno that has not been messed with to just give high numbers? I figure if im a tuner im going to want my customer to see good reliable numbers from my tune.. that also will bring more customers better for business. So i guess is kinda hard to really tell.

@@Migycrz it is hard to tell, but not using SAE numbers is a dead giveaway for starters...if you're using the same dyno to tune on, the numbers are irrelevant, what you pay attention to is the gains/losses compared to your baseline....if you take your bike somewhere for performance work, and they hand you a dyno printout showing 200hp, but no baseline from when the bike came in, you have no clue if you gained or lost anything. It's hard, because there are so many tricks they can use to manipulate the numbers....I would just say find a shop and tell them you're not interested in high numbers, just SAE numbers for tuning.

Nice, a dyno showing realistic numbers...I was wondering how much timing was going to be added to make running e85 worthwhile. If you cry babies want to see 200+ HP, just ask ib to put it on Brock's dyno.lol

The baseline for this euro 4 2018 s1000rr was 182 hp on the same dyno. It literally gained only 10 hp with the thousands of dollars in performance parts and e85. It doesn't matter if it was on Brock's dyno, it would have shown a 10 hp gain...

MrJayjay0420 I agree, it wasn't going to gain any more than it did no matter the dyno...I haven't been faithfully following the build, so I thought the bike has typical bolt-ons with a set of cams. A 10HP gain sounds about right on a bike that's maximized from the factory. I don't understand why it would gain HP on e85 if the timing and compression are still same as on pump gas...anyone care to elaborate?

at_Ease1775 It was 182 stock. 186 with the cams. 192 on e85.. but I think the 182 and 186 numbers were on a different dyno.. might have to check the other videos
