Hey everyone, welcome to tonights video.
So this brick cleaning path job was part of a much bigger project that I didn't film. I thought i'd show you this, as this job was quite a satisfying transformation, especially as it had started to become a slippery when wet, safety hazard for the customer.
The customer obviously new that the brick pathway needed cleaning, as she had nearly slipped over on it a couple of times after rain, when putting her rubbish out into her wheelie bin which are stored along there. But was genuinely surprised when I told her how much dirt and grime will have actually built up within the cracks and crevices of the paving....until she saw me clean it 🙂

I’m a truck driver for McLeod transport and we deliver to restock all the Lidl stores. I load unload then reload the waste. It’s a horrible job and I’m absolutely shot after my 4 days on. Watching you transform people’s patios driveways and roofs is so relaxing to watch and chills me right out even tho I know it’s hard graft for you. Thanks bro for this. That is interesting. It looks like a craftsman was involved. Has a simple but nice square pattern on the pointed bricks, and multi-colored bricks used to top the walls. That is kind of fun that an "old and even pitted" brick can "look like new" when cleaned nicely. Enjoying the plants as well. A near genius may be trimming those carpet-like bushes.

I liked that you soaked it all down first before applying the cleaning solution. This way, the plants and grass absorb the water and have no room to absorb the cleaning solution so they're less likely to die.

I love brick walkways! Our house when growing up had them and they were so pretty! They look so nice with pea gravel and I was glad to see that combo here, too. Many many thanks for sharing all that. To be clear is this the order.. 1. Power wash the weeds and moss with lance and surface cleaner.? ( or how do you deal with the weeds and moss?) 2. Apply SH. But what nozzle/gun do you use to draw SH from your black container? And what % SH is coming through the the gun ? 3. Does the gun do the dilution of SH or do you dilute it in the bucket to the strength you require? 4. I am struggling with how to deal with weeds and moss on Patio. Should I just spray with roundup or whack the weeds with a strimmer.. first. 5. After a week attack with the Powerwasher as above. Thank you again. I’ve just bought a 5 GPM Powerwasher and I am totally at sea as to what to do but people like you are a great help to me. Much appreciated. Will subscribe because of you help and generosity in sharing your knowledge.. Thanks Ps What surfactant do you use?

Hi Nick 👋 What an unusual path that was 😮 Wow 🤯 amazing results so much better than I thought it could be, bricks were so bright at the finish. Of course we have the patented Nick Foot flower shuffle (well ok bush this time 😂). Two weeks then I get two weeks school holidays. I know it's only supposed to be a week but the schools my 2 kids go to are having different weeks off 🤦🤦🤦 why just why 😢😢 Also sorry for the whinge but it's also my son's final respite session this week 😢 at the end of October it closes down permanently and there is no other centres in our area. So many families are going to be under so much strain it is heartbreaking. Sorry about that I hope you and your family are doing well. Take care and higs from us oop norf 😂

The yellow wheelie bin is used as a buffer tank (a reservoir of water) . It is filled with water from th customers tap, then the pressure washer feeds from the bin. This is done to maintain the constant water volume the pressure washer demands. As too often the water pressure is not enough from garden taps. The chemical used is Sodium hypochlorite ( as found in household bleach).

What % of sh do you use and when do you apply it, before you use the surface washer or after? Thanks

@murtaghslawncare5861 . The SH typically used is 15% , which is the strongest concentration generally available, (available from cleaning supply companies). Dependant on the level of soiling and organic growth ( lichens, algae, moss etc) it is typically diluted 5 or 4 to 1 with water and this is sufficient in the majorityof cases. Sometimes it is used 50/50 and on rare occasions neat. Only experience will tell. The majority of people will use it after the main clean and rinse down while what you are cleaning is still damp. Some people if they feel the level of soiling is heavy will opt for a pre wash treatment, however in my opion you are wasting SH on the dirt that can easily be removed by the main washing stage. If needs be it is better to do a repeat application after the main wash and application of SH. Don't forget to use a mask as at these concentrations the fumes given off can irrate the lungs. Hope this helps somewhat.

I'm struggling here a bit. Your work was neat as always, but I'm still dissatisfied with the result, but by the nature of that path itself. Those stones still looked dirty in the video thanks to all those holes capturing the water. Also the pointing looked more like mortar and was breaking here and there, which led me to the thought how insanely pricey it must be to maintain since so much material is needed since there being so many gaps with such little bricks. It's also sad how heavily withered the walls around were. Oddly enough the sandstone part looked so much newer that it made a hard contrast. I'm really unsure about that one 😢

Lazy, lol. It's called working smarter, not harder!! I moved the pots over, cleaned where they were sitting, then moved them back. If you think picking heavy pots up, potentially hurting your back in the process, then moving them further away off the paving is a better use of time and energy, then more fool you!
