May I ask why you use that type of sprayer? I would think something like what's used for sidewalks and driveways would be faster, so I assume there must be a reason to use this one. I watch without sound so I apologize if you explained this already.

From tradesman to tradesman. Way too many people have so little going on in their own lives, they have to create their own drama. Such disappointing behaviour.

This type of human is the reason I could never work with actual customers. Project managers are already a pita at times, but customer, oh boy. No way. If it would be me in this situation, surely I'd try to calm him down as well. But after that I'd be like "You know what, just F you. Go call mommy and cry more. I advise going into the house as dirty rain is being forecasted soon". I'm just not good at dealing with shitheads. I'm a mirror in such cases.

Very nice, but NFRC (The National Federation of Roofing Contractors Ltd) recommends not to do anything about moss on a roof unless it is causing secondary issues such as blocking gutters. I respectfully agree with their opinion.
@PrestigeExternalCleaning14 сағат бұрын
You are of course entitled to your opinion. But i respectfully disagree with yours and their opinion based on my 13 years of experience and seeing first hand the damage moss and lichen can cause to roof tiles. It’s why the industry is getting bigger and bigger by the day.

It’s England, it rains, sometimes quite heavily. I thought the English used to be known as being polite, respectful and civilised, unfortunately too many seem to be petty, rude, disrespectful twats.

As long as the pointing was light, I think the darker look went very well with their house, actually.

Awkward neighbour was acting like he was at the car wash..."Gotta clean all the stuff out, my car's gonna get washed soon".
@Kayenne5418 сағат бұрын
4:49 Interesting, and awkward. I bet when these kinds of housing were first proposed, not one man thought "this is going to cause neighbour angst if one side can afford to get the house cleaned from roof to ground, and the other side cannot". P.S. can I ask why the roof you're working on has "lumpy" bits or mossy growths, and the other side doesn't?

Why does there always have to be a sad story in the title? Honestly no one cares, we watch to relax and for the satisfaction of the end result. Click bait just puts me off watching it

It’s just a bit of background info to explain why the paving looks the way it does before I start. YOU might not care, but A LOT of people do. If you don’t like it, please feel free to watch something else on someone else’s channel. Have a good day.

I kinda like it darker. It gives the patio charachter and some depth ibstead of just being all grey. I bet it was hard to not clean it "proper" ! ! 😊

it's funny that they are afraid that water coming from roof would seep into house. What are they gone do if it's raining????
@Rapha2587Күн бұрын
I understand the customer. Wanting something clean, doesn't necessarily mean wanting it looking like new. This aged stone look, can be very charming... However, those bright places, kind of ruin the vibe they were going for. It would be better to clean as best as possible, and let the whole thing get evenly aged. But under those circumstances, you did, as always, an amazing job! ☺

I think I can kind of see where they're coming from? The spot-stained and blackened stones have a kind of moody, Gothic vibe to them, and some people just love that aesthetic. For these folk, I guess the black spot is acting like carpenter's stain soaked into wooden furniture, making it darker and more richly toned. Walnut-colored instead of pale pine or birchwood. The cleaning _does_ brighten up the pointing, and really makes the crazy pattern pop nicely in contrast. Have you ever seen those wire bristle rotating scrubbers for removing moss? They're like the love-child of a flat surface cleaner and a street-sweeper. I wonder if using one of them to really scrub in the hypo would scour really stubborn black spot out of stonework? 🤔 Just a crazy idea that popped into my head.

Wearing traditional Islamic dress for Ramadan. I was raised by a Muslim. The quran teaches non Muslims are dirty and offensive to Islam. Non Muslims are an enemy to Islam. It also states under no circumstances must any Muslim befriend a non Muslim Muslim and to hold non Muslims as "inferior" just thought you might like a little insight into the teachings of the quran. It may help give you a better insight as to why.
