I check the oil every 20% on the oil life and top up as necessary. My two Honda's both burn some oil at 245k km and 400k km. The engines both run perfectly, other than burning a bit of oil. The 400k km engine is a 2006 Civic. It burns about 2 litres per oil change interval (8-10k km).

As the official bearing aficionado of this channel, I can confirm that wheel bearing is bad. Sounds like its on life support at this point!😂

@theoffroadingmechanic what was the part number for that hub bearing? I know it was an SKF bearing. It looks like our 51-01 hub bearing we make for Honda.

I didn't check the part number for the rear so I'm not to sure. I'll have to find the box on Wednesday. The front bearing is fw97

@@theoffroadingmechanic if that bearing has the same dimensions as ours, we call ours 51-01. Year and model of vehicle? I'll see if I can cross reference them.

can you please make a video on how to flush the PS fluid for DIY without air suction tools?

Pull the return line and extend it into a waste oil pan. Run the car, turn the wheel stop to stop once. Shut off. Don't run unnecessarily long. The system will have emptied itself into your waste oil pan. Finally fill it up, run it, turn the wheel stop to stop, and top up as necessary. Use OEM power steering fluid.

You can use a hand pump fluid extractor. I always suck out the old stuff and fill it back up first before starting it up and turning the wheel lock to lock so it doesn't aerate the fluid and make the pump start whining. Then shut it off and suck it out and fill it back up and repeat.

A testament to Honda's engineering. They build them assuming they'll be abused. Hence if you don't abuse them they outlive the rest of the car.

The old j series motor V6 will keep on running as long as you keep oil in it. When it starts burning oil slap some new rings in it.
