Good video with all the info needed to remove and replace. I had this job done on a GLC 300, recently. However, a friend of mine who works for Mercedes recommended to use the clic-to-lock OEM clamps because the screw type clamps have failed sooner than the OEM ones. To be able to clamp the hose ends to the hard line section, I did it on the bench and fed the line from the bottom up for installation, not easy though.

Yea that part and the feeding of the line to the hpfp are difficult.

Thanks, very helpful. I would remove that metal line tes🎉t line, just connect one continuous fuel line hose from fuel pump to fuel line. Then secure the hose with good ties. Mercedes original hose lines are deffective will not last anyway. My wife 2015 c300 only 48kmiles already leaking and fumes going to the cabin. She went to the doctor because she was having head aches, not knowing she is breathing gas fumes for months.

Great video, very helpful. I have a problem to find a part number for this lower pressure hose that is under the car. Do you know a part number for this hose by any chance ?

I did this awhile ago I don't have the part numbers on hand I do know they have variations o would call the dealership and give them your VIN to get the correct part numbers.

Great video, thanks. Just one question, my lower fuel hose has plastic shields on the clamps. Plastic shields are not fitting with screwdriver type clamps. Is a problem if I do not use the plastic shields and tighten the clamps to the hoses? Thanks a lot?

Thank you!…..I’ve seen it where people cut off those plastic shields to remove the original clamp to put a regular fuel clamp on there. I know it’s not what Mercedes wanted, but you technically can do it.

The hose sizes I can't say the parts came from the Mercedes dealer but I want to say they were 3/8 maybe.

I don’t have the part numbers I would call your dealer give them your Vin number and they will actually tell you if there’s any updates to the parts I know Mercedes changes these quite often

Hey can the high-pressure fuelpump leak it self how would you go about checking mine has clear leak marks

The best way to diagnose. The high-pressure fuel pump is to run the car and visually inspect and see if it’s coming out of somewhere but be careful because the high-pressure field pump as its name. States it converts low pressure to high-pressure. You definitely don’t wanna get sprayed by it.

Mercedes confirmed the hose leak and said because of my mileage... they would not cover it and wants 800. To replace a rubber hose. Any recourse?

If they won’t cover it the only thing you can do is take it to a shop to get it done or do it yourself

Just followed the entire video on a w205. c300 2015, the car wont turn on. Added fuel but still nothing. I hear the fuel run through the line to prime it but still doesnt turn on, any suggested possibilities as to why this might happen?

I would check the connector on top at the high-pressure fuel pump in case you forgot to reconnect it that would cause a no start if you forget to plug it in after the repair.

Same here, engine crank but no start. Checked high pressure fuel pump plug, checked all the lines, everything is good and tight. Primed a few times but still no start. Do you happen to know what was the problem on you car?

The car in the video ran and drove it had a fuel leak from the lines I replaced. What I show in the video won't fix a car that has a no start problem it just covers leaking fuel lines which is a well known common issue on the w205.

@TheEnthusiastMechanic understand, the car was running perfect, just trying to address the fuel smell issue. Can you tell how many times should you prime the system? I tried 4-5 times by pressing start button twice without starting the car.
