@@nichollisschmidt7932 Cummins do run forever but as someone who’s family sells both Chevy and dodge it is proven time and time again if you maintain 2 truck exactly the same and put around the same miles every year the Chevy will structurally stay together longer dodges tend to rot in places that are integral to truck. Both Awsome a dodge will out tow a Chevy and out plow a Chevy but when it comes to abuse nothing can kill a gas or diesel Chevy if left stock.

I'm tired of the unnecessary hate on the honda ridgeline look I know it's not a body on frame vehicle with 4wd and with a big v8 or whatever but it wasn't designed to be that it was designed for someone that wanted truck like practicality but the comfort and drivability of a car and the ridgeline is best at that.
@Ryan-vp8ul

@@ericksanchez7787 ok yes they are comfortable and reliable but so are mini vans. They are the minivans of trucks. You don’t modify a mini van. And your right it’s like a car. It’s like they took the crv and buffed it up a bit and put a bed on it. The only good thing it had was they had a built in cooler in the bed which was cool

@@Ryan-vp8ul that is also true it's a pilot with a bed but in my opinion the ridgeline is a truck just not a traditional truck it's fine that people that don't like it but I hate that some seem to judge it like it's an f150 competitor that its supposed to tow or haul allot but that's not its purpose it's a urban light duty pick up with unique features that others don't offer but hey it's just my opinion

They also forgot to mention that the spark plug ejection was primarily in the 10th gens, but even then, the problem can be avoided if a little extra care is taken when replacing the spark plugs. With the 11th gens, the spark plugs are known to get stuck in the head and break because of a stupid 2 piece design Ford decided was a good idea to try.

It’s not bias if you can back it up, Chevy stuck with the pushrod V8 for what some people thought was too long and they made the best known one because they were stubborn and wanted to prove a point, and even in the small size pickup line up chevy for the most part did a good job until they ditched the V6 4.3 and switched to the I5 as the “big” engine option due to having to sell out some names in their parts bin, currently GM is kind of cheating out until you get into heavy duty pickups though and most 1500s are luxury vehicles with a pickup bed nowadays

89 is an idi unless it has had an engine swap to 7.3 powerstroke. A 7.3 IDI or 6.9 IDI Turbo is not considered a Powerstroke. They are 2 completely different engines. Also, i would add coolant additives to it. The 7.3 idi is basically a bored out 6.9 so the 7.3 idis can have cylinder cavitation. Good luck they are good trucks

I was kind of dumb and just eager to own my own truck, so I found exactly the style I was looking for on craigslist, a white 1986 (7th gen bullnose) F250 Lariat SuperCab with a long bed for 11k. It's super clean inside and out, RWD and has the 7.3 IDI, which I didn't really mind. I drove it perfectly fine for about a week, before I learned the previous owner must've driven it without oil for extended periods of time. The whole block was warped and when the pump blew I had to rip the whole engine out and put a new one in with a Banks turbo for 5k. It really put a dent in my savings, but I'm starting to recover. When I have the extra money down the road I want to put running boards, a 3" body lift (I think they work well on OBS') and black AM Baja's (16x10 -25) wrapped in 235/85 Falken Wildpeaks.

I've driven it 12k miles and haven't been nice at all to it and I haven't had any problems so far. the spark plug issue depends on the year, size of the engine, engine # of valves, and engine manufactured location. I think i got the one year 4.6L with the good # of valves and the Windsor engine which is the slightly better version. I've mainly only heard the spark plug problem in the 5.4L and 3 valves. still a great truck though. only time will tell.

Don't forget the second gen 24valve cummins also had a line of bad blocks manufactured in Brazil that would break do to the engine heat over time. The tall tale sign of this is the exhaust manifold would crack and then a few months later a large crack in the block would form. Me and my uncle had to fully build an engine for it because that happened and cummins even said the Brazilian blocks are junk. Then four years ago we swapped the original 5-speed out for an aftermarket 6-speed which this past year we blew out hauling a boat since the transmission was as basic as can be but the engine was bulked up.

I'd definitely say this list is spot on. I owned an 11th Gen F150 with a 5.4, paid more than double the purchase price in repairs over two years, and it still needed a whole new top and front end of the engine (about 8k from the shop) when I finally got rid of it. Literally the reason why the "lifted Ford" stereotype exists.
