The Nigeria Customs Service has paraded a large cache of arms and ammunition intercepted at the Onne Port in Rivers State.
The container load of illegal import was on display at the Port Harcourt Area II Command.

There is so many law breakers in Nigeria. This is due to unwholesome quest for wealth and power. Politicians are doing their bad thing while non state actors and their cohort are doing their own bad things. The money spent in importing this weaponry should have been used to develop Agriculture, Power Sectors or other viable sectors of the economy that will engage our teeming youths who are unemployed in Nigeria. This is not the first time such illegal arms had been intercepted in Nigeria border or point of entry. During the time of Colonel Ahmed Ali ( retired ) as Controller of the Nigeria Custom is men also intercepted large quantity of pumped action rifles at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos. The way and manner non State Actors imposed their acts on Nigeria while the sovreign government watched in frustration is very disturbing. More border checks must be intensified to checkmate crimminals from holding Nigeria to ransom.

Why are the names of those arrested not mentioned ? This is a political act to disenfranchise Onne sea port from full operations, to favour Lagos sea port.
