Deportees from the Republic of Türkey have arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in the Nation’s Capital.
The reasons behind their deportation remain unclear, though many disgruntled returnees claim they were arbitrarily arrested and sent to deportation camps without justification.

@@relax0180 Nor matter how well built your country and economy is, it doesn't stop migration! Turkish in their record numbers, Lebanese, other Asians leaves in nigeria, do they get treated the same way? We shouldn't provide excuses to be treated like that in any country. We have citizens of a well developed countries living in nigeria and other african countries, but do they get treated like that? The issue here is these foreign countries especially within the Eurasia has zero respect towards black skin africans. There's not a single country in Africa whose citizens doesn't lives abroad. So, it's not about "stay in your country" it's all about treating people in a dignified manner wherever they choose to live.

I once met a Nigerian engineer in the US. He cried as he told me his story. He was production manager for a milk factory owned by an Indian in Lagos. He had his own house, cars, maid, children attending private school. He said the Indian manager begged him, "why do you want to go to the US, you are just going to suffer" He said he wished he listened to the Indian guy. He sold everything in Lagos, and moved his family to the US where he ended up working as a security guard earning minimum wage. As at the time I met him, he had no resident papers, so there was no relief in sight. Japa is not for everyone.

The truth is that turkey is not even a nice country considering how they treat african migrants & I wonder how on earth an african will choose to live in a country whose human rights record is worsening by the day due to religious hardliners in government. But you have millions of Turkish laborers in Germany & around the globe who are not treated the way their government treat foreigners in their country. You can't round up people without telling them their offence & deport them! Yet Turkish citizens are menacing around in nigeria in their record numbers without any repercussions from our law enforcement agencies!

Turkey is even a country of emigration just like Nigeria and other African countries. But I always wonder why Nigerians migrate to Turkey even though it's not the best country to move to. Turkish people live in various countries such as Germany, France, Switzerland, United States, Canada, UK, Austria, and more. It's obvious that Turkish people move to those countries for better life and even this year Turkey is going through a brain drain which drives more to emigrate from Turkey

If they were criminals according to your suspicion why were they not arrested and tried in the court of the law prior to deportation? What I'm saying is that: when you deport people from point A to point B, the officials of point A must handover documents proving the nature of the crimes committed by each of the deportees, by so doing the home authorities of the deportees will further take action against the deportees for defaming their countries in a foreign land. When Earthquake occurred in Turkey the then President Muhammadu Buhari without seeking authorization from the National House of Assembly took the collective commonwealth of the Nigeria state and gift the huge sum of money to the republic of Turkey ( Turkiye ) Even though country commiserate with each other when tragedy occurred Nigeria was not in a strong financial state to champion such wasteful expenditure. There are plenty of economic problems back home in Nigeria. Buhari never care when the same tragedy occurred in some parts of Nigeria like the Niger delta region. Buhari never cared whether there is massive suffering back home in Nigeria. The same he did for the Talaban government in Afghanistan by gifting away public funds the collective commonwealth of the Nigeria people to Afghanistan. A rogue state that have denied their women rights to basic education and employment. Now the same Turkey that Nigerian leaders under President Muhammadu Buhari commiserated with is deporting Nigerian nationals with reckless abandon.

I have experienced racism from Turkish people. I was born in the United Kingdom in 1964, of Caribbean heritage..my parents came to England in the 1960s,s from the island of Jamacia, which is at present still Part of the Commonwealth. They came, with nothing, there was no Benefit, welfare system for them..they took jobs and studied. My siblings and I grew up in North London in the 60s 70s 80s 90s..so we lived amongst other immigrant communities However, as I've explained we faced negativity at times, and I believe, instead of attitudes of changing, it's not Clearly,. What is happening at present, to the Nigerians is an Absolute disgrace.🙏 London is multicultural But some, communities still feel that because, of colour or culture, they take it upon themselves to be abusive I treat people, the way I would wish to be treated. I was brought up by Parents, who instilled in their children Ambition, resilience, and Pride in themselves It's pure ignorance to judge a person on the colour of their skin or culture. We are all Human beings..

Though Nigeria is Recorded to be the 4th richest now in africa but struggles in so many ways more than the even the poor countries in africa. Its even struggling to compete with its fellow africa not to talk of Turkey. Every country you ppl will call common, but your country is the most common of all because it has lost its respect, glory and dignity, in the eyes of so many people and countries.

This response is laughable! The journalist should talk about them returning to where they were illegally? The whole of Nigeria can talk about it for centuries, if they don't get the right papers and the Turkish government allows them back, there is nothing anyone can do. Turkey is not Nigeria bruh! if their families have papers, they can come home to visit them; otherwise, they can relocate back to Nigeria to be with their loved ones. That's the hard truth!

Let us look at few points, steady electricity, good health care system, good roads network, quality education, infrastructure. When do you think Nigeria can achieve these few things that I have mentioned? Turkey have the biggest airport in Europe currently, go there and see for yourself how busy the airport is.
