As I was about to decide on my bike position, I though I would record this tutorial of one way to cut the steerer while keeping the fork in the frame and still protecting the headset from carbon dust etc.
Moving over to hydraulic disc brakes did make cutting the steerer tube a bit more challenging as you can't really remove the fork from the bike without removing the hydraulic brake hoses, or removing the bar tape so you can remove the brake levers.
