Outstanding video

I’m just going to use a corner joint strip. I kind of find it funny how fussy people are with their kitchens in a day and age where the average person avoids traditional cooking 😀

Hi, why do you cut with a jig saw before using a router for the male cut please? I'm about to do my own worktops
@1petrofski2 жыл бұрын
To remove the bulk of the chipboard otherwise too much routing is required

More amd more worktops are being made with Square edges, so masons mitre not required. I have just fitted my worktop. I used a new 35mm forstner bit and my circular saw set at the right depth to cut the boltholes. Cut sink and hob. Worktop joint is good and I sealed it with Unika colorfil.

Quite an old video, but frankly I am disappointed. Its not something one can follow and replicate easily and now that most people have pointed out flaws in the comments prior to mine, we do not intend to follow it either.

When he positions the jig to make the female cut, he doesn't take any notice of the width of the what will be the male cut.
@cassiya1008 жыл бұрын
Haha. I noticed that too?

you are wrong. actually the interchangeable spacers ensured it was positioned correctly.
@acewelding7 жыл бұрын
Colonel Walter E. Kurtz The work tops vary in width, if you use the stops on the jig you don't end up with the back edges exactly flush, that's why you should cut the male cut first and mark the width of the worktop on the jig to line it up with the edge for the female cut. It's more exact than using a spacer, or anal.

It would be impossible for someone to do a worktop joint by following this vid, It is a waste of time. I.E wahat if the walls are out of true ? this vid is a waste of bandwidth

DONT FOLLOW WHAT HE SAYS, ITS ALL WRONG
@c.m.40783 жыл бұрын
No really. Why it's all wrong?
@tigereye12088 жыл бұрын
This is a terrible example. Worktops cost a lot of money yet you have a video showing the jig moving when being routered at 1:20. This would effectively make the worktop fucked.

Is moving all togheter with the worktop
