Again, I’m amazed by all the Mahogany Splendor you plant. Mine got seven feet tall last year. One plant would have been enough for the season.😊

the rain this year has been insane - here in the UK we have had almost none stop rain for 8 months solid now.

Slugs in the UK have been horrific - very wet and warm spring. The slugs have taken out all of my direct sown Sunflowers, Zinnas, Basil, Mint… the list goes on (around 700+ potential stems). Have had to start from scratch, sowing into cells and growing on in Polyhouse & Greenhouse to get stronger seedlings. I’m setback by well over a month 😢

Yes I do. This spot hasn’t been fabriced before so I needed a new piece but other places around the garden were reused pieces from last year.

I had feverfew come back and this was my first time growing it. I'm wondering if I made a mistake pinching it. It's growing and blooming but do you pinch feverfew in the spring when it comes back from the previous year? I can't wait until you're making your arrangements again. They're always so lovely.

I usually don’t pinch but I don’t know that youve hurt it

What is the purpose of the planting into holes in landscape fabric? Just weed suppression or is there another benefit?

Yes. And helps with spacing too. But mostly weeds

So from what I understand the eryngium doesn't flower until year 2?

I think that could be the case depending on when planted……as with all perennials from seed. We will find out!
