Hey Christina! Been very busy I see. Been out for awhile, but did get market started last weekend. Heat got to my ranunuculus in my new raised bed. I finally had some! I didn't realize how small they are? Seems like it would take alot to make it worth the effort. Have rust/bugs here, too. I started sahara from seed and also love it.

Would love a video of you just harvesting. Love a more silent episode that's just the snips of your clippers and showing us your favorites. If you wanted to that is.

Good morning and beautiful flowers. I am new to flower growing cutting and selling. How do you keep these flowers fresh throughout a hot day. After you harvest, do you put them in the fridge? Tell me more about what you do after harvest to help preserve the flowers.
@SunshineFlora
@SunshineFlora Күн бұрын
Yes I put everything but the zinnias in the fridge and that keeps them fresh.

Zinnias are not pronounced Zeenia. The word has 3 syllables. Zin-ee-a. Just letting you know. I am also (for the first time) having a major issue with bugs ruining my beautiful zinnias. If I can find a solution, I'll let you know. I was thinking of applying a homemade solution of insecticidal soap on the petals but who knows? Meanwhile, those dalhias are gorgeous! Where do you buy your seeds/roots?

Did you hear Erin talk about the zinnias? She was saying that most are picking them too young. If you wait a week the flower middle will open up more and be twice the size. I’m going to try this.
@SunshineFlora

hmm interesting! I will try that and see the difference!

Look's great, so much hard work. If you could only grow one, would you pick strawflowers or statice? I have grown strawflowers the last couple of years. I do like them, they have that daisyish shape so many other flowers have, I was thinking statice would be a nice spray shape after the feverfew is done, I have never grown it.
@SunshineFlora

It's incredible how much you have expanded!! I'm excited to see the bouquets you will be making! Have you thought about just scraping the 8 small raised beds and scrapping the gravel away like you did the zinnia area? You would get so much more planting space. Love your videos!
