The plaintiff is a barber and has been working as a haircutter for nearly 20 years. He started working at the defendant’s shop, but he never felt a real sense of community. He’s suing for unreturned property and lost wages. The defendant argues the plaintiff lied about being a barber. She’s countersuing for breach of contract, late fees, and unpaid rent.

@@lizhiggins4805 the judge was saying he had some inexpensive clippers at home. The plaintiff said “that’s why they’re home” meaning they are low quality, below professional standards, and don’t belong in a reputable barber shop. Quality clippers are not cheap.

I wouldn’t be surprised if him not being licensed would come back and get her. She probably hasn’t checked anybody for licenses and the board would come for her with fines. Idk why she thought bringing that up was a good idea because if I was the board, I’d be coming in for a surprise inspection. As a “business owner” you make sure you are covered

Barber tools and beauticians tools are expensive!! It depends on the brand Most stylists have to buy their own supplies,tools, pay rent and may not even get tips. They also aren't usually under unions and may not even be licensed. Check employee records. I believe the defendant, however, she just didn't present her side well enough. She might have won if she had been calmer . The plantif knows he is wrong . Unfortunately this could have been settled out of court. The defendant moved from the hood, but didnt leave the hood behavior. She did well to lock the door. What kind of mall doesn't have security,a neighborhood strip mall😮
