This is my homework project I done for the absolutely awesome David Ariew''s School of Motion course "Lights, Camera, Render!".
The lesson covers the knowledge needed in order to get the cars racing along a track. It's up to the students to build their own track or interpretation.
I got some great feedback from classmates and David so I'll be doing another version at a future date to add some optical flares and work the road texture a bit.

Hey! I really love your work ✨ Can I create this using a laptop : HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop with Intel core i7, 16gb RAM, 512SSD, Nvidia GeForce 1660Ti ? Like can the laptop carry me through the course and enable me to create stuffs like this too ?

Hi there, Thanks a million! Unfortunately that laptop would not be able to create this scale of scene.

This is incredible. Love the look. Did you find you were hindered at all by octane being the only option for the class? I'm interested in taking it, but I am mainly a redshift user.

Thanks a million! Definitely not hindered. While David uses Octane, the course focuses a lot on the theory behind lighting and camera moves which can be applicable to any software. Some of my classmates used Blender, Unreal Engine and Redshift. If getting an Octane license is possible for you then I'd recommend getting one, just so you can follow the lesson without having to convert materials or create from scratch. The main thing is the knowledge shared in the course is golden.
