Tired of the tiny keyboard on the microKORG?
Cut it off!
This was my DIY experience, I know you don't have to cut it to use it this way but I have use for it in a vertical "enclosure"

Give it a shot, it's a great euro rack along as you got a midi to support it.

Cut mine off around 10 years. I dont remember doint that to the mod wheel and pitch bend. Ive toured around with it and played thousands of hours with it and never had any issue. Anyway...i like this synth. My first one. But mini keys are s###.

Those mini keyboards might be korgs mosted hated feature on small synths. Thanks for watching.

Why does evrybody always call keyless standalone synths "Eurorack"??? It litterally has NOTHING to do with "Eurorack"....

Awesome man! I am thinking about doing this soon, my keys have broken twice now and it costs like 25 dollars to replace a key octave. How are you feeling about it now? Feel like a good decision?

You would have been better off just cutting a strip of plastic off of one of the bits you cut off, to fill in the open part. Or you could have cut less off of the bottom part and then gently heated that part of the bottom plastic panel and then carefully bent it upwards using the edge of a table. Oh well its done now lol. Another way would be to get a strip of aluminium and screw it to the plastic

Originally, I cut it longer to cover that part, but the wood wasn't straight (cuz it's the cheap stuff, lol). I just wanted to see if it could be done, and now it's got some ventilation at the bottom... Ventilation. Yeah, that's what it's there for.

I think it would be possible. You would need plates made to mount it, and 2 rack spaces available.

Bro... I'm an idiot. I been trying to figure out how to have a set up like yours . Without cutting the keys... But i have a midi controller that i want to basically control the microkorg and i want to send it to my mpc live 2. I cannot find any info on how to do this.. looks like that's what your doing but can you go more in depth.. like I'm talking all the menu options and inputs and outputs.. please!!

I can do that, You have to find the midi in and out page in the settings, make sure you're sending all the midi data out to the microkorg. have the midi out of the mpc hooked up to the midi in on the microkorg. Make sure microkorg is receiving midi on the correct channel, I believe it's channel 1 by default. I'll try to get a video up about this for you soon.
