Hi, I've seen quite a few MicroKorg's conversions...in general I see people are not happy about these small keys. Some conversions created only a new look of the classic synth. I didn't like the keyboard either, so I decided to put my microKorg into a new case, give it a three-octave "normal size" keys and add the processor effect that is missing in the original synth: the reverb. I have to admit, it's not my first conversion. Some time ago I've mad a 4-octave MicroKorg, but the keyboard had own midi controller and it was connected via midi to the synth. This time I simply wanted to replace the original keyboard with the bigger keys. It wouldn't fit the old case, so I had to design a new one to fit everything in. Unfortunately I cannot add a photo of my new MicroKorg here...

Hey Dean, this is the best MicroKorg desktop conversion I have seen so far, nicely done, almost looks factory! I think those MicroKorg keys are awful though, but I guess it was a budget piece of gear aimed at hobbyists!

I was able to glue those broken white keyboard (not on korg but on casio, but the point is the same) using wicking grade superglue (very low viscosity) and baking soda trick. Basically: push the broken key where it should bee, sprinkle baking soda on the joint, then drop a few drops of the superglue. The baking soda will become basically a rock solid build-up material within a second. Using baking soda and LV superglue can be used in many other applications where you need to build up surface.

I don't get why you went through the trouble of re-attaching the mod and pitch wheels since most controllers will have their own :P Pretty neat though!

i modded mine to have a standard power plug, the same as pedal, so i don't need fancy power supply
