Tom S. It wasn't me, but I wonder if these people are cat breeders? If so, that would be one reason to give it a thumb down. Adopt, don't shop.

I am a former cat foster. I am okay with legitimate breeders, cat or dog, who sell direct and their animals are registered with one or another legitimate breeder's association - AKC, CFA, TICA, etc. I am NOT okay with the disreputable "breeders" who don't properly care for their animals, puppy/kitten mills, hoarders, etc. The cats in this video are purebred Scottish Folds (and yes, it is necessary to use straights in a Fold breeding program!). They are obviously being well cared-for and I commend the breeder for that. They are also not in the US. I am unfamiliar with how the associations work in various other countries.

I heard your rhetoric the first time. People in the US should consider getting a rescue pet first, but I don't have a problem with it if someone wants a purebred animal and they buy direct from a REPUTABLE breeder. Read my reply again.

shariys1 Perhaps you miss the point? Whether a breeder is "reputable" or not, it's WRONG to be so selfish as to want a "purebred" in the first place, when there a millions of animals being put to death simply because they aren't the color or breed that someone wants to flatter their ego with. It's nice that you think so highly of yourself as to give your approval, but really, it's a stupid opinion.
