Cutting Ephemera From My Favourite Magazines

Hi Guys, happy Monday!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. It's Monday afternoon here and I spent a little time cutting out of some of my favourite magazines to create some ephemera for my own personal journals. I hope you are all keeping safe and well, big hugs - Sarah xxx

So lovely to watch you do this. Funny because sometimes I would catch myself thinking oh no you missed a beautiful image there 😂 I'd like to see some journal pages with these ephemera, just to see how you use them. Love from Holland, Maureen

This was lovely to watch Sarah! I LOVE using magazines for images to put in my journal. It's such a great way to find ephemera.

Hi Sarah, sending you hugs for your loss. Womankind is also my favourite magazine for all the reasons you listed...they just get it so right. I also like Flow magazine, which is expensive but they have wonderful images and papers to use in journal making. I find sitting and fussy cutting quite therapeutic... we often don't take the time to just do things we like as we are so busy doing those things we must. Take care, Amanda xox

Hello my friend! I love that you love the womankind magazine also! Flow is a bit expensive yeah but they have good paper quality! I like the magazines with a thicker paper inside. I find it so therapeutic as-well to sit and fussy cut. And I got right into creating in my journal after the video to :D. xxxx

Hello from Canada. Im sorry for your loss. Sending a big hug your way. The flower in the picture you cut out is foxglove i believe. I have some growing wild in my garden. It just appeared two summers ago and keeps coming back. I love the idea of using the magazines to add colour and intrest into a journal. Thank you for sharing.

I,too love magazines and save parts of them to use in my artwork and for inspiration.Some of the ones you showed are new to me.I just love paper in all of the ways it is available.Like you !add in a glass of iced tea (warm here now) and I am happy.Thank you for sharing New to me publications.Love your channel.

The weather was the same up here today Sarah.... so I was binge watching you making ephemera... and how excited you were at getting your house built... they certainly didn't take their time did they... three months to completion, that is unreal... What a gorgeous little journal... I have looked at that Breathe mag several times, but not bought it, although I am not a magazine buyer except for daphne's diary, if only we were allowed to use it in the journals we sell eh? So not fair..Not ever heard of Woman KInd... must have a flip through when I see one... Sorry to hear of your loss Lovely... and good to see you back on KZfaq.. Blessings your way...

Hi Sass! Lovely to see a comment from you my friend :). No they whipped up the house really quickly! I think maybe around 3.5-4 months something like that. I like the breathe magazine and will buy that one again, & womankind I will always buy it has great interesting articles in it. Thank you so much Sass, I hope your doing well up the coast & keeping warm, it's starting to get a little chilly at times now lol xxx

Hi Sarah, some great images you have cut out 😁. Also the plant is a Penstemon. The leaves are not right for it to be a foxglove, although the flowers are somewhat similar. If you look up both I think it will help. Xx
