I agree and i did it for exactly that reason, i didnt want to hide behind my hair. I discovered that i feel more myself with long hair but i dont regret that big chop.

The shortest I've had is chin length. And once a year I cut it above my shoulders because of a condition I have makes me malnourished so my hair loses a lot of it's protein and appears very damaged dry and frizzy. But I dye my hair because it's how I express myself. I only bleach it once a year and only bleach new growth due to the damage malnutrition does and putting bleach on the already bleached part would destroy it. But recently I switched to a salon quality shampoo conditioner and leave in called matrix, the specific one I have is the so long damage line. It's helped my hair so much in such a short time. It's no longer frizzy, it's shiny again, and my curls are coming back, due to the malnutrition I lost my curls a long time ago.

I have had short hair for about a year now.I feel the most comfortable with my current length and i doubt i will soon in the future want to go back to a short bob like i had for year previously.I will probably shave it or cut it extremely short some time too when i get bored with having more than a few centimetres of hsir

This is one of my favorite haircuts! It reminds me of Demi Moore in Ghost. I have this haircut but unfortunately no Patrick Swayze. Maybe I just need to make more Pottery

Stella, I shaved my hair on July 29th. It's been almost 7months! My hair looks identical to yours except my hair in back almost covers my neck. I think I have mullet but I don't mind because that's how hair naturally grows. There is nothing wrong with our natural body. When you are growing through "those" moments, I feel those too. Your not alone.

I've been growing my hair out for a year now and I'm resisting the urge to chop it all off again. I've had short hair for the past few years now and I agree. I felt my most confident in my short hair. And fun colors of course ☺️

now that it's short you should try to go platinum, like as white as you can. I think it would look sweet and now that its short the majority of damage with be gone, so it's the best time to go for it.

I just got my hair cut into a pixie after trying to grow it out . You look so gorgeous! It’s both inspiring and refreshing to see women not afraid to both experiment with cuts and colours to show women you don’t have to have long hair to be beautiful and feminine. An excellent look, and the black is the best. Bold and fierce. Punk spikes from the 70s. The Great Gatsby and the Jazz Age. Ethereal new age Enya locks. A precision cut so shiny you can see reflections in it. Or even -- gasp! -- a normal style for a person with things to do and a world to run. Growing out a pixie? Do it in sections, like turning the bangs into a sweeping statement piece, or letting the side and back layers merge into a chin length bob. There is much to be learned from this. Good choice.

I've done short hair since I've been 9, but been doing it on and off since I was 14 years old, you feel very confidence, your face is more open, one of the fun things for me, is you'll be able to show off your earrings a lot more than before. You look really awesome in the pixie!! This one and your first bob hair cut are my two favorites on you. Enjoy your new look, and am very curious on what you'll be doing with the colors on your pixie cut, it will be a very different take on when you dye it!!!!

I identify so much with everything you said at the end! I had my hair down my butt and 9 months ago I chopped it all off to a pixie. Now I feel a completely different person and it was like a new start in life. Plus, now I get to mess with my hair all I want because it grows back in no time 😁

I liked all the cuts you've had. Even the very edgy. The mullet was so cool. I cant carry it off but you did. At the end of the day.. its just hair and always grows back so you can play and play again
