Only thing I do differently is rather than cut the mdf jig with a skill saw, I screw straight edges around the edge of my pencil marks and then use those as a guide and use the router to cut the jig with the router too. Takes a little longer but means my jig is 100% straight. Drilling the sink brackets tests a man’s minerals 😂👍🏻

I would make the jig full width of the worktop, with a 2x1 lath at the front as a stop and straight edge. Keeping it parallel, I've just done a 22mm Howden joinery worktop u shaped kitchen, putting in the jointing bolts and cut outs for sink and hob, takes longer, nice router work ,cutting 4 or 5mm at a time saves your router bit.👍

For me personally if you do sink hole 10mm smaller would look better as sink edge would be invisible no?

Hi, these worktops are great, but not many traders fit them as they are high-risk. I am based in Leicester, and I don't go out of Leicestershire. I hope you find someone soon. Thank you.

What router bit do you use to get the smoothest cut?
@PassionforCarpentry
@PassionforCarpentry 2 жыл бұрын
I used Trend 1/2" shank double-flute 12.7mm. I have used 30mm guide bush, this made it 9mm away from hand made Jig guide.

How to attach a compact to cabinets? Thank you
@PassionforCarpentry
@PassionforCarpentry 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, first you cut worktop to the size you need for fitting then put worktop on top the cabinet as is gone be in finale position. Mark the worktop underneath were the side of cabinet are then turn worktop upside down use the same screw we use for the sink with L bracket, make sure the end of bracket is strait with marking.

@Emir Dzafo NO, the router is a very good tool but danger as well. Small size bit only for soft wood and other material.

Hi I am in the middle of fitting mine i was always wondering why the bolts to fix sink are 20mm what is that plastic spacer you are using
@PassionforCarpentry
@PassionforCarpentry 10 ай бұрын
Hi, if the screw is 20mm you should have the same plastic included in the kit for sink fixing. The plastic is flexible rather having to fix straight in the metal plate.
@PassionforCarpentry
@PassionforCarpentry 10 ай бұрын
Another way of doing is to use adhesive that comes the same as silicone tube, but you have to support from beneath, solid wood 10 cm wide. On the front of the sink .
