@@cobrakainevereverdies6940 the league could not possibly allow such a thing. The GOAT argument is already a mess. You can't add a Scottie factor. Here in Chicago, I've always said that MJ and Scottie had a synergy whereby they did more together. BUT, a Mikeless Scottie did more despite having more horses in Portland. In The 'Go, Pip took BJ and Horace to an All Star game. He got to the 2nd round without MJ's 35ppg too. He took a Horaceless and BJless (that's 2 All Stars) Bulls to a playoff berth too. Scottie could have 6pts but still be in total control of the game on both ends of the court. There's no arguing MJ. But Scottie is eclipsed by that huge shadow.

I remember that Houston team... I live in Los Angeles and went to a game w a friend back then . This friend would laminate a fake press pass so we could go down by the locker room at the end of the game and get a basketball signed. Well on this day the lakers played the Rockets. But it just so happens the lakers set up a tables for all players both teams to sign a giant card for someone. ...my friend stood next to the card and every player from both teams signed the ball ....Pippen, Olajuwon,Barkley,Shaq,Kobe,Eddie Jones,Fischer,Rodman,Mobley,and more. As you can imagine, that ball is his most sacred memorabilia.

Scottie didn't blow him up. In fact, MJ would probably cop to most of it. Yes. He was selfish. That is how he got to where he is. To that point, he also is why Scottie got a gold medal and signature sneakers. It's a money thing. Scottie made some whack decisions. They all get it; even Phil.

You had Glide. He was more than enough. Besides, Rudy didn't know how to run 3 posts. In fact, 2 posts would've gotten Dream doubled too much. Besides, Barkley was just kinda out there with little offense designed to use his strengths.

The Rockets actually tried to get MJ in the 84 draft. They offered the Bulls Ralph Sampson for the third pick. They wanted to team up MJ and Hakeem as that 1/2 guard/center combo. Imagine that happening??

Cuttino Mobley was a Thorough all around scorer and 2way player at the 2spot. Til this day along with prime Ron Harper may be the best 2 players to never have made any all-star teams. Jamal Crawford and Rudy Gay were a close 2nd and 3rd.

@@marcusnellums6620 Ron Harper was my childhood fave every since his rookie year in1986-87 when he put that 360 fingerroll over dr.j after ripping Charles Barkley in the same play, I went his Camp when he was with the Clippers and I'm telling you he should have been an allstar for atlest 2seasons in L.A and 2yrs in Cleveland. He was 1 of the biggest snubs in history but atleast he got his rings.

Harper Came in the League as a top guard he was up there with Clyde Drexler and Dumars .his only weakness was his jumper from outside of midrange but in the 80s u didn't need the 3pt shot as much then however he got better in L.A. and with the bulls .CAT on the other hand was a rotation player that got better but couldn't pass nor wasn't as naturally talented than Harper. .sorry for the long paragraphs but I'm not for this new watered down soft NBA era.

Redd was more of one of the best lefty 1on1 players with a descent offensive package with a semi slow release on his jumper but his handles were legit where he'd still would rarely get his shot blocked

No disrespect to Cuttino Mobley's storytelling, but there's a timeline conflict about being called by coach Rudy T and Scottie Pippen. Perhaps Rudy T called him minutes after he was drafted in 1998, which was in June. Months and the lifting of the lockout that lasted from July 1, 1998 to mid or late January 1999, Scottie Pippen was traded to Houston. So probably the latter's call happened over half-year later.
