Cybermen VS Vogans

The Cybermen plan to destory Voga (The so-called Planet of Gold). So they sent two Cybermen with three human bombs into the centre of Voga. The Vogans attack the Cybermen, but the Cybermen shoots them down!
The Cybermen wins this battle!

I like the original script better than the transmitted story, it has the planet of gold in but it has human gold miners living on it instead of aliens and also the planet of gold is unnamed and it only appears in episode 3 of the original Gerry Davis script and having no Vogans in the original script improves the story in billions of ways. The original story title was return of the Cybermen, and the episodes had titles like in the early to mid black and white Dr Who stories from An Unearthly Child to the Gunfighters. The scenes on the asteroid, on in the studio and not on location at Wookey Hole wells Somerset which was also the location for the first series Blake,s Seven episode Project Avalon and various other series and films. It was when more money became available for film work, it was decided to shift more of the action onto the planet of gold and open up the story and it was decided by the then production team of Dr Who to change the human gold miners into an alien race the planet of of was first named Alanthea, then Vegan and finally Voga the aliens were first alantheans, then Vegans and finally Vogans . I having read the original script billions and tens of billions of times prefer it to the broadcast version and also the first 2 episodes are set entirely on the Nerva spaceship and only part 3 has the asteroid in it then the 4th and final episode is set on the spaceship Nerva and everyone apart from the gold miners is aboard the Nerva space station. In the original script only the human villain Kellman and the Doctor transmat the planet of gold and Kellman is killed in nan explosion by the miners who dynamite the tunnel he hides in. Kellman in the original script, is double crossing the human gold miners and he intends the miners gold and help the Cybermen destroy the planet of gold.

believe me, Gerry Davis's original storyline is much better than the Robert Holmes re-written version that made it to air.

@@BadwolfGamer The differences were there were no Vogans, but the planet of gold Voga was in the original Gerry Davis story but it was unnamed and it was populated by human miners who were trapped on the asteroid for 25 years and were trying to survive any way they could and also the planet of gold played a much smaller role in the original script by appearing in only episode 3 and the rest of the Gerry Davis script took place aboard the space station Nerva beacon with the battle of the Cybermen. In the original script the 4th Doctor, was portrayed like the 2nd with 500 year old diary and the human villain Kellman was still a double agent but in the original script Kellman was double crossing the human miners on the planet of gold which had no name and also he intended to steal as much gold from the planet as he possibly could. I have both read and listened to the original script of Gerry Davis which is titled, Return of the Cybermen and IMO is billions of times better than the broadcast version.
