Honestly, the Nomad missions are some of, if not the best missions in the game - the whole adventure you go on with Panam and the Aldecaldo's makes you forget for a brief moment that V is dying and you end up just enjoying the company of these people and either find in Panam a life long friend or companion. And then to have them all go through hell and back for you at the end. Literally couldn't ask for more... Star ending always and forever!

My thoughts exactly. My V was a nomad. So my playthrough felt like a tale of a man who wanted to abandon the nomadic life and go night city to find more fulfilment in his life as a big shot but at the very end he relizes that what he truly wanted wasnt night city but a new family and new place to call home. Im glad i got the star ending in my very first playthrough without watching any guides that could spoil the outcomes of your choices. It truley felt rewarding.

@@christophermunoz2004 I think its very poignant playing as Corpo V, having come from a world where everyone is obsessed with money and power, where you trust no one and betray everyone, where V has grown up in that hollow world... and then finds a better life, a better people, where they look out for one another. As Jackie told them, they were free at long last, finally able to choose who they truly were, to have a life of their own and with a family to call their own too.

@@weldonwin (Sorry for my english and this long comment, but I wanted to share my experience with you guys) Exactly my playtrough. I made a Corpo femV and roleplayed as what I thought was the most close to that lifepath. Choosing always the Corpo dialog when I had the chance made my V a cold woman, someone without sympathy for no one and which will fuck you before you fuck her; but at the same time, I saw how lonely she was. She didn't give a damn for her family (For my V, it was only an obstacle, nothing more) and didn't have any friend but Jackie; she grew up in the rich part of Night City, where she spent all nights looking at the sky and the stars, telling to herself that she want to be (and will be, sort of) on top of the world. But, was it worthy? She lost everything. Her job, her best friend and even her life and personality. She was lost and afraid as never before... Or maybe she always lived afraid but didn't want to screm it, not even whisper it. She wanted to be remembered, but not like a NC legend, but like a person. Simple as that. Her relationship with Johnny was horrible at first, but the more time they spent together, the more they realized how alike they were. Both lived only for what they wanted, treating bad their closer people because of their ambitions; at the end, it didn't matter. They failed, and when they looked around for someone, realized that they were the only ones in the room. My V saw herself on Johnny, and viceversa. They helped each other, like true, real friends. V didn't want to die like Johnny. If he was able lo redeem himself, she too. Thanks to Panam and River, V learned the importance of having a family that will go to Hell and back for her. Thanks to Kerry, V learned the importance of living in the present, and to enjoy it. You can't change the past, never will, but you can change your future starting with the present. And thanks to Judy... V learned the importance of loving someone, and being loved. Both girls suffered a lot, but they were each other's cure to their sickness. At the end, V started a new life. She died and came to life for second time. But now, it was her choice. Starting in the city, like a cold, lonely and afraid person; and ending outside the city, like a warm, and loved person, with her new family and lover, is the best ending that my V could ever have. It doesn't matter how much time you have before Death knocks to your door. What matters is how you live that time. Remember and honor you loved ones and always be with them, and they will do the same. Be free, V.

My only complaint about the Panam missions is that there weren't enough. I wish it was more of a slow burn because those missions were the main story for me. All of it had me hooked from beginning to end.

Panam is my favorite. She can be self-absorbed sometimes and a little childish but ultimately a great friend and lover. I'm a huge fan of Mike's world and while I love the neon bathed megacities I've learned to love the open stretch of land that exists between California and the Mississippi. The Nomads are truly free and live a very unique lifestyle. There's something refreshing about never being in the same place twice doubly so in a world like Cyberpunk.
@marthas9255
@marthas9255 2 жыл бұрын
Not at all, her goals are never merely personal and that includes revenge. Everyone else is self absorbed because they cannot see what she does is something that they cannot fathom and is in service of everyone around her. Goes with her mindset, choosing a sniper rifle as her main. These units work best alone while being in service to their groups and themselves. Childish just because she demonstrates high energy emotions? Being flat is just as childish - see low EQ, low emotional intelligence, low interpersonal intelligence, and cluster A vs cluster B personality disorders. It's rare to see a westerner being able to integrate all kinds of personalities and thought processes into their culture, development on multiple fronts is much needed.

ADDITIONAL SPOILER I never knew that Judy could accompany female V to that ending, one of the few "happy" endings in that game. Bittersweet considering V still ultimately dies, but on her own terms and with a happy Judy on her side. I guess that tells us that there are no happy endings in Night City, or maybe anywhere at all. It's just about making the best of what you got.

@@Joey_Shepard As much as i enjoyed the Nomad ending for its bitter sweet nature. The ending that actually hit me the hardest was probably the "bad ending" I don't mean the Arasaka one, i mean the ending where V decides to just stop fighting. Mostly because it made me realize how selfish V's actions have been up until that point. V destroyed so much and killed so many in his/her path to avoid the consequences of his/her actions, and it felt genuinely fitting in my opinion that in the end when faced with the brutal reality of his/her impending death, V finally decides to accept it and instead of going on another killing spree, that will ultimately result in the death of many, which could very well include some of his/her friends, V just chooses to end it, the way it should have ended after the heist gone bad, with a bullet to the head. That ending was not only very emotional i have to say especially due to the messages at the end from your friends and as i played with the female V that romanced Judy at the time that i got this ending, her message was genuinely hearbreaking, and quite honestly haunting. But it was such a "deep" ending in my opinion that it i really do see it as my favorite of them all.

I know this is an old comment but I feel obligated whenever I can to endorse the product of Mike Pondsmith. Who if you don't know is the man who created the franchise Cyberpunk. It was originally a tabletop. Night City isn't even a fraction of the beauty and depth Mike put into his creation. Although I love the nomad life path, I think the Corpo V and Panam (Her being a Nomad) romance is so poetic. For example, Panam gets betrayed by Nash, the first person outside her clan and meets V not too long after, a Corpo. Her expectations of him would be pretty grim, as she knows all Corpo's are in it for themselves, but then you back her up multiple trimes, Nash, Mitch and with Saul, with the Corpo dialogue in 'Riders of The Storm', and she realises you were simply just a pawn to the Corp's who got his freedom back, and what better way of getting your freedom back then becoming a Nomad, leaving the night city world with your lover and family. That being said the Nomad life path is also beautiful, as it's V leaving one family, and finding another
@MrMetalDanny

@@sandevastated1 I can agree with you there they have their similarities because in the nomad life path you break away from the bakkers at the start of the game because they are siding with another group and losing their independence as a nomad group themselves in which you find yourself in the rat race of night city under the crushing foot of corps but you find Panam and fall in love with her and you help her realize you are both better off with a nomad family and you find a family you can truly belong too The Aldecados you even convince Saul not to join biotechica because it would mean being a slave to the corps and having everything taken away from the clan. Thanks @Rivia Wolf Edits for the intellectual response and explaination of the corp path becoming a nomad ill take another go at that life path because I just played a little of it and really didn't connect with that version of V but Im going to give it another shot choom thank you love your name by the way.

@windywalker4598
@windywalker4598 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that bar - it was pretty strange beginning of new relationships with such impudent suggestion from V immediatly jump into the bed and spend night after drinking. Who would've thought that nomad, who actually lives one day at time, would demonstrate such temperance. Nomad on the crossroad, who does not know where she should turn, though her life just consisted of many different crossroads. And the other one, who is trying to delay impending death. Two lost souls amidst wastelands, who always needed a hand of help but never got it from anyone and actually never asking about it. Their relationships seem to be very fragile, and it's developed slowly. Often they don't share too many words, as their attitude to each other reflects completely into actions - V is always ready to lend a hand without much questioning which is pretty rare thing in our world, Panam trusts him more and more, and asking for help in the first place not from her own clan but from the stranger. We see how both sides feel that their connection between each other can end any moment, as they're afraid to lose each other - it's completely seen when Panam's hitted with electricity during AV chase or when she's seemed to be buried under the rocks when they're drilling underground way to Mikoshi, as V felt really scared these moments or when he suddenly lost consciousness because of relic malfunction and Panam looks confused and frightened. When the darkest hour comes, and V's time completely ran out, he calls Panam just to say his last goodbye and greeted by grumbling about calling in the night. But when he mentions what's the matter, she immediatly mentally shakes V and after that rides after him. So he gets the same helping hand in the critical moment, as once he did for Panam. V helped Panam to realize what's the most important and determine her life road, Panam doesn't let V surrender on his personal fight for life - during the game they both became essential to each other, shaping each other lives and complementing them which is extremely rare thing. Even Johnny said that it's hard to find a girl like this and he would've adviced just go after her if not their common problem. This feeling of fragility is strongly connected with liferoad of nomads - as everything is windy and unstable in their lives and all those heartwarming moments are just fleeting - you never have enough time for such moments, for people which are really matter, and you can't really do something with it, but just embrace it and continue to walk on this endless road and be that as it may. It may sound awkward but even sex scene with Panam is interrupted by attack of Wraith band, as they surrounded Basilisk. Even during the end credits messages, V can't see Panam face because of upcoming storm, but only hear how she just tries confusedly expresses her feelings to him, as they still don't have enough time for each other - the one became the head of the clan, the other is still slowly dying merc. It's not a type of story where they "lived long and happily after that". They're both unsure about upcoming future, and how it will affect on their relation, they're both looking forward to a new life, knowing that it will barely have something good, but they continue to ride no matter what because such is the way. I always questioned what for do really love relationships exist. Except mutual feelings, sex, whatever. What for does it exist if it makes you weaker as you're attached to someone, having to spend more time with this person, care about it and if something bad happens it will affect you too as the chain reaction. But i guess, if it's based on human relationship, where both sides complements each other, making themselves stronger - it makes sense. The same simple and at the same time very complicated human relationships which made Johnny to change from the stage "i will take your body no matter what" to "I will accept my fate and step aside, giving another person chance in his fight for life". This is extremely unique thing - usually one side is just pulling the other to "higher level" or they co-exist in different planes. Probably most of us will never see anything alike in our lives. But as this game shows in general - your life can be totally ruined by something and you will never recover from it. You may chase the bigger goals in life and end up with nothing among nowhere. You may lose some decent people on your path, and you will never fill the void inside from these losses. You may try hard and all the same witness your completely failure. Still, you keep going because c'est la vie. The final touch in this all is when V with Panam drives from the dam, she begins to switch the radio during their conversation, and suddenly on one station begins to play the old song "You don't know what love is...". No, i don't. But at least i've witnessed once. And it's worth a lot.

Man these Panam quests are so far and few between. Wish they paced it out so I didn't burn through them so quickly. With Judy it felt like I could take my time before jumping into the next quest. Panam always had something going on.

I felt that as well, and that's why I'd ALWAYS back up the truck when she called lmao. I even got kinda scared before that mission which only appears after 24hrs in-game, but somehow it took longer because I was doing something else xD

That smile and her leaning her head on her hand whilst attentively listening to V, is what made me wanna romance her straight of the bat. *And then she jumped outta her thorton, shot down the AV. And that moment is when I thought about a ring.* *And then, she lost Saul, helping me and that's when I realised she was both my lover and family*

Because of Panama’s ending, I unlocked a new perspective. Glad I played it and probably won’t play again maybe when dlc comes out. But from here now on, I’m going to live my life to the fullest and I’m glad that I’m able to share that with someone. Just like John said, it’s damn hard to catch a girl like that. Hopefully my message can relate to you all.

That "remember when I told you about impulses?" Scene really surprised me in a way I never thought Romance in a game could. One moment we're in a tank and testing it out together and the whole time I'm paranoid expecting it to explode with us inside it cause it was waaay too easy and convenient that the corps was bringing a tank out to the desert with it being an older model at that. Then out of nowhere she reminds me how shes tends to act on her impulses and then makes jacks I something that makes her and V feel the exact same thing at the same time and starts touching herself before climbing onto V and they fucking IN THE TANK! I did not expect anything that intense from this game and ESPECIALLY from Panam but I loved every second of and now my V is ride or Die with Panam

I would like to have a game like Cyberpunk 2077 and there characters but with an option that you can invinte them anytime and get a ride with them, go to a bar with them and more, outside of a quest just for hanging out with them and chilling, it will probably be insane.

i wish V could sit down at bars, benches or similar and just take in the ambience, play with his phone, play retro games on all the arcade machines that are scattered in Night City. And what's sad is that CDPR probably meant to implement all of those things and more, but their investors pushed hard for releasing the game before it was finished. I still liked the game, but it was unfortunately not done.

If you ever want to escape and just chill in a neon lit dive in a back alley. This game offers so much perspective and ambiance to just sit and think. Or take a slow walk down a rainy road without ever leaving your house. The extent the developers went to to create this game is astonishing and how little appreciation was given to them was a real travesty.

CDPR were utterly deluded to think they could pull off Fallout: New Vegas meets GTAV in a Cyberpunk setting. The games technical and gameplay design shortcomings are obvious. However the game still has a look, sound and feel that is excellent. I really connected with Panam too. And Johnny and Takemura despite the differences. And Judy. And others. I guess what Im saying is despite all the faults around this game due to CDPRs reach massively exceeding their grasp there is still a solid heart inside. And I hope thats what they build on with expansions. I could never claim this is one of the best games Ive ever played but Im damned happy to say despite everything it still had enough soul to leave an impact on me. Great character and visual design. Character writing and voice acting. Superb music.

Only ever played it on a series X and its been okay apart from the occasional glitch or crash. Certainly as good as PS5 and definitely good enough to not warrant being ripped off buying a new pc. This games problems arent all technical. Its mostly design. You can see the design for this game was a complete mess. Thats why however good night city looks it feels dead. Like it and all the pedestrians are made of cardboard. They should have put more focus on characters and storytelling less on being a groundbreaking next gen city experience they just couldnt live up to.
