To be fair, koalas are actually horrible for the environment. One species that actually won't be missed by the ecosystem.

@caspillo siblings considering the ecosystem they live in would actually benefit from their absence, yes. Eventually koalas will cause their own extinction anyways by eating eucalyptus into extinction. So either you can have 1 species go extinct, or 2, possibly more depending on how many species rely on eucalyptus.

@caspillo siblings sloths, unlike koalas, have natural predators. So their removal would cause disruption in the food chain. Koalas just happen to be in a very strange place where they have no natural predators and they eat only a specific endangered plant. It's almost like evolution decided it wanted one species that was completely fit for extinction.

@@alihorda the media likes to use language like this, how the reporter here said "nature's living teddy bear". this sort of infantile language leads people to more readily look at the extinction of an entire species as a sad, but trivial event, instead of the grand tragedy it actually is.

There's a reason why, when I'm about to fight some hostiles, I either scan or snoop around first or default to non-lethal punching unless they push me into having to throw a knife into one or two people's head. The only time I bring my sword, an upgraded Razor Machete, out for intent to annihilate is if I've seen enough evidence that heads need to roll. Or if they're Maelstrom. Usually it's both. PS: When I brought it up with my cousin who goes all-in on the lethal, he described my method as "Jason Todd-like"

i can't help but feel its unrealistic too. they literally have so many technologies at their disposal. MORE than that, a species would be preserved in captivity if possible. literally would be entirel populations of captive koalas and polar bears.

Can't recommend Cyberpunk Red enough. A worthy successor to Cyberpunk 2020 (we will never speak of Cyberpunk 3.0 again). Sure, it can use some tweaks, but what RPG system can that not be said about?
