Everyone in this scene has betrayed everyone else, with the sole exception of V betraying Song (which you are given the opportunity to do here, too). It's a spy thriller. Everyone is betraying everybody. That's why the right ending is only to side with someone trying to get out of the game. The spygame is all lies and manipulation, through and through. Never, EVER trust anyone who willingly joins in and keeps seeking that game.

@@Loama I think it's just some way of guaranteeing that the player actually has an appropriate firearm for a given series of events. I've done pure melee/throwing knife builds and never had a gun in my inventory. Or there's the other side where instead of a knife/sword, the only gun I have in my inventory is something like Guts or Skippy.

@@Silentguy_ I mean that's why Cyberpunk is not RPG, or at least it's very very very shitty RPG. My V for example was netrunner. I would just fry in nanosecond Reed brain with 4 quickhacks, wouldn't even pull my gun. But no, I have to shoot. It's the same when you arrive to Dogtown and Songbird needs to hack for you elevators and doors... like I am fucking netrunner, I can fry whole squad of MaxTac at Very Hard without even breaking a sweat and I need some girl to hack a FUCKING DOOR for me? Same for situation of someone doing melee build. He would just pop Sandevistan or Berserk and rip Reed to shreds. Or the fact that we have to run away from one stupid Robot in 1 ending for PL becasue suddenly game wanted to became a survival horror. It's just fucking robot, if you are Berserk with Hammer or you have a freaking anti-material rifles/rockets you should zero that robot like it's nothing. CP77 tried few times to pretend it's RPG only then to railroad not only story for you, but also gameplay and railroad how you should act. They should have never pretend there is any RPG in it and just make it full railroad GTA/RDR like story and at least then it would make more sense.

After I sided with Reed on my first playthrough and seeing what the Nusa did to her in her flashbacks and how Reed let it happen. I will forever side with Songbird now. At least she will live on even if you die. So at least one of you will be free and survive the whole shit storm.

If you give her to Reed, after initially siding with her Reed sends you to the best doctors who can remove the engram safely. Albeit, not without losing all your mods. But at lesst you live. Songbird is taken to Langley to receive treatment and also lives. If she has to answer for treason that is her punishment for betraying everyone around her. To me, that was the best ending

She can't trust anyone. Thus why she betrays everyone. Sure she get's treatment. But now she would be a lab rat and blackwall slave for Myers. Congrats.

Just a complete nobody who will probably be killed within a week which would be a mercy killing if you ask me. You get knocked out by some random dipshit who you could have sliced up into a million pieces before he’d even be able to make a fist. It’s honestly the most depressing ending available in the entire game 😂

But still you have to remember V will die. So the Nusa wouldn't even bother. Hence why Alex doesn't just try to kill you when you meet up with her after Killing moon. She knows you will be dead in 6 months.

Reversed it stands for poor logic, hasty decisions, and self doubt-both V, Song, and Reed ultimately falling victim to it.

So it's not so impartial, it's just all the line level folks turning on and butchering one another while the matriarch is sitting pretty. Damned sad, actually...

@@alexcavazos3341 Revolver feels Blade Runner-esque for me personally even though it's odd since in both vanilla and Phantom Liberty V's cutscene pistol is Unity. But a damn shame CDPR isn't that OCD-Nitpicky like me to include "Her Majesty" version of the cutscene, it'd be poetic. An FIA agent dies by an FIA service pistol given by another FIA agent. The gun is on the poster like James Bond with a Walther. (I haven't seen all but early spider tank fight accounts all your cybernetic arm implants, not that's it's so relevant.)

It really doesnt make sense that I can't just shoot his gun, or his leg or something. Let me incapacitate him man. Black ops 2 did the same thing almost 2 decades ago. And you were able to save your friend by not shooting him in the head. It makes no sense that I was not able to do that here.

Yeah sadly the game pretty much forces you to kill him if you don't hand Song over. I had a knife and a revolver, both with non-lethal mods, and he died anyway.

It’s a shame that the best ending is probably siding with Reed and then killing Songbird at the end when she asks you to. Since she’s way to dangerous to be kept alive. If you let her go to space, you’re potentially feeding A.I information about the blackwall. If the theory about Blue Eyes is true. Or if you let Myers take her back she’s going to be used as a nuke essentially.

I see your point but who are we to decide whether or not if she deserves to live? When you choose to help So Mi go to space you let her leave everything behind on her own terms, instead of it being on yours or the NUSA. So Mi is in a far more desperate position than Reed. So Mi is being pushed by the President of NUSA to do things that are slowly killing her body and soul. She's trying to survive and be free, with no cards to play but bad ones.

Both are fairly open to interpretation, and leave you very conflicted regardless. There's no real good or bad or best ending, they're all pretty bittersweet

@@Loama What lets me decide if she lives or dies is that I’m the player and I’m handed that choice by the developers of the game. Her fate is literally handed to us on a silver platter. But in truth I’m not looking at that situation with emotions or what’s right or what’s wrong for her, but rather just the raw facts. The truth is if she’s alive she can essentially cause the end of humanity. Whether through Blue Eyes, or from Millitech and the NUSA. Since if the blackwall falls, Humanity is essentially screwed. Now if I add my own personal feelings into the equation? I do feel bad for her, but the reality is most of the characters in the game have it rough in some way. Does she have it worse than most? Sure. But it doesn’t really justify her in my eyes of what she’s done. The same way it doesn’t for every other character, including our own potentially depending on how you roleplay them in the game. I get her motives and reasons as to why she’s playing everyone. Trying to survive, being afraid of death, her life as spy making her not trust people, etc. the similarities between V and her. But a massive difference between her and V is really just honesty. V is pretty upfront with people as to what he’s after and doesn’t normally screw over his companions (unless you REALLY go out of your way). Those are the big differences for me. That, and the biggest one so that she’s a walking nuke who’s going to be used by some evil organization whether if she survives. Such as Blue Eyes getting all her knowledge about the blackwall, and NUSA wanting to weaponize her. But hey, If you think it’s better to let her be free and live, you do you. I just prefer looking at the bigger picture and making my choice based on that.

There’s really nothing that confirms Mr. Blue Eyes has any hostile intentions towards humanity or is planning to tear down the blackwall. He has his own personal interest in mind like most people do in the cyberpunk universe but realistically I do not think it revolves around ending the world with So Mi as a Nuke or some sort of dangerous weapon at the forefront. Plus with her finally escaping the hell that is night city, she wouldn’t have to worry about being turned into a weapon by some organization anymore because *she is free now* . Finally away from what she was running from all this time. It’s not about my personal feelings towards her, it’s about doing the right thing at the end of the day. You’re only justifying your reasons for killing her. To each their own though, It is always interesting seeing other peoples perspective on this

In the end both decisions are based off of either emotion and the desire for some ethereal freedom (phantom liberty if you will) for someone who could have been you, or is close enough. On the other hand you have the objective facts but then the facts that are built off incomplete information. So Mi is dangerous, no doubt there and corps and gov are all trash. But you can't say for sure Blue Eyes is a -bad- guy, or a bad choice, we can't say if her salvation is on the moon, just not enough info.. so the best choice is made with the limited ones you got. But I think in the end either is right, because neither are wrong. @@Loama

I hate Meyrs and So Mi is very gray character but at least unlike Reed she is a fighter and survivor. Reed is also using V and he is lying to her/him. The difference is that So Mi at least regrets these things she did and she realizes that she did a bad things. Reed believes that betraying his friends and helping Meyrs is greater good and he thinks that he is on the right side. This makes me hate him. They both are doing bad things but at least So Mi has much better reasons and she realizes that she did a bad things. You don't like her? Fine. You have your reasons but I don't simp to toxic women like Abigail Roberts. Kate McReary or Ellie Williams. If you like at least one of these characters then you are a true simp. So Mi is not even my wifu. I simply feel sorry for her and I want good ending for her and you don't change my mind. Walk away.

She was forced to be in a position that started killing her and wanted for once, to be safe and live her own life free of restrictions. Reed has been dead for years serving the president like a soulless husk, Alex just wanted to leave her life in any was possible and everyone else was fodder that would of died one way or another.

I find this pathetic how people hates Songbird just because she was lying to V. What else she could do in this situation? People are hypocrites. People who in this games hates Songbird are the same people who played in the last of us 2 and they call the last of us 2 a good game and they also believe that Ellie Williams who brutally tortured innocent woman to death with a crowbar is a victim and they feel sorry for her. People call So Mi a liar. Who is their lovly Ellie if not a liar and scumbag? Ellie betrayed and left Dina. Used Jessie and got him killed. Nearly Tommy died because of her and because of Ellie Joel is dead + Ellie killed a lot of people for her sick revenge. Ellie did much worse things than So Mi but these people makes pathetic excuses for her that she tried to survive. So Mi is the one who tries to survive! Ellie kills people for her sick revenge. Ellie betrays people so she could have her revenge. So Mi was lying and using V so she could save herself. This is egoistic but very much jutisfied unlike how you believe that Ellie Williams from the last of us 2 is gray character. Ellie is not gray. Ellie is evil without any true remorse. So Mi is true gray character. Egoistic? Yes but in her situation it's the only way. I respect her because she is fighting for her freedom and she is actually the only female character from games expect North from DBH I really feel bad for. She is in much more tragic position than V but yes you hate Songbird for what she did. You would sing different if So Mi was the main character or prehaps not because there is only one reason why you guys defend Ellie from the last of us 2. Because Ellie is a tomboy. So Mi is not. That's another difference beetwen them. I am sure that most of you guys played in the last of us 2 and you actually like Ellie. Ellie who is much worse person than So Mi. She is actually evil. And it's actually sad that because of hurted feelings most of you are ready to side with a psychopath and traitor like Reed. Solomon Reed is definitely one of the most evil characters I've seen in games. He is worst than Ellie. He is worst than Micah Bell from RDR2. People who can't pay attention don't know that but Solomon Reed is one of the worst traitors from all of them. He will betray everyone and I mean everyone to keep his job. He might regret this a bit but he will never and I mean never change. He is not just evil. He is monster. Do you realize that if you give him Songbird then this psychopath will turn her into a machine. She will be trapped in Blackwail. Tortured forever. This is fate worst than death and not only. Being raped feels good compared to what Reed will do to Songbird. He and Meyrs are monsters. Worst monsters than even Saburo Arasaka himself. But ok I know that you don't care. Psychopath like Ellie from the last of us 2 is a good person in your eyes but So Mi is evil. Well it only proves that your morals are toxic and evil. Goodbye.

You’re taking a lot of Ellie’s decisions out of context. Nora put herself in that situation by escalating things then trying to trying to kill Ellie, also she was already moments away from death when Ellie beat her with a pipe. Tommy was just as hellbent on revenge as she was if I’m remembering correctly and even convinces her to continue going after Abby near the end of the game. Ellie leaving Dina doesn’t support your argument of her being a bad person. There are plenty of fictional character’s worse than So Mi but that doesn’t mean she was right to manipulate a dying person into killing her enemies and freeing her.
