My father owned a company named Chemfil, later bought by PPG. We made phosphate for treating car bodies before paint. We also made the alkali and alcohol metal cleaners for before zinc phosphate. "you don't paint metal, you paint phosphate" was dad's motto. Zinc phosphate provided corrosion protection and improved paint adhesion. Now iron phosphate is used because most auto bodies have zinc in the metal. Paint looks good and protects metal. He should have used test panels and exposed them to the elements for months. Maybe he did and ignored the rust. Stainless is difficult to paint. Adhesion is a problem with paint on stainless steel.

I applied for a job at a temp agency providing internet support for graphing calculators. The job sounded perfect for a college student. In the afternoon and evening, answer questions people (mainly middle school and high school kids) had about math, and using this company's graphing calculators. There was a background check (because you would be talking to kids) and a math test. They told me, "there was a problem...You got 100% on the math test" I was like, "wait, what? Why is that a problem?" They said people who did well tended to quit or cause problems for the client so their instructions were to not hire anyone who got 100% on a math test, for a job that was helping people with math...

The shortest time I worked for a company was two years, and I left that job as I was joining the army. Another job I had for three years and I left that company as they moved that division to another country. Then I've had two jobs where I worked for over ten years at each company, and they only ended as the first company ended up in a vicious catastrophe where the boss ended up in jail for several years, and the other was bought bu a competitor who downsized it to nothing, moving the work to another country. Yea, I'm just to volatile....

When he finally closed it, put his pen and other incidentals down "just so" he looks up at me and says... "so, what brings you in today?" I stood up, shook his hand and apologized for wasting his time and wished him good luck on his job search. Another Dominoes, a year later, i'm sitting down with another shift runner "i've got the job" he pulls out his phone and begins to read to me current mission statement for Dominoes. "Here at Dominoes we are a pizza company second and a people company FIRST" he relays to me along with many other facts about Dominoes i learned in 1991, im losing my mind. I tell him i have no place here, i'm looking for work for the winter as my business is seasonal but i do NOT do corporate speak, i'm here to do what you need me to do, i'm too old for this crap. The seals around the doors allowed water and a draft into the car, they also howled with wind noise above 40mph. You have to be clinically insane to trust the self drive system. The panel fit was appalling, the worst I have seen since the 70's. I was ecstatic when the battery, which also had problems, did a dump and burst into flames. Even though it almost killed me, I was relieved to see it burn up like a magnesium flare, destroying the car completely.

Actually it will get a lot worse when some iron filings get stuck on the cars metal surface. When wet and mixed with dirt, the moisture becomes an electrolyte and electrolytic action will cause very nasty rust spots, which are almost impossible to buff out. Note, that these rust spots come from the iron loaded dirt not the stainless steel. Besides even 316 austenitic steel (this is the more corrosion resistant stainless steel), it will rust under certain circumstances. This is called "crevice corrosion". I have seen 1.5mm thick 316 stainless steel with holes (rusted through) under o-rings or rubber screw washers. This happens when the dirt and grime (electrolyte) is void of oxygen. However this scenario is unlikely to happen on a CT. Electrolytic action between screws and body panels however will likely cause trouble over time.

Online personality tests with esoteric questions are nothing new. Cost me multiple jobs when I was a teenager. They just arbitrarily decide they're "not hiring right now" despite keeping applications open and posters up at their locations. It always seemed fucked up that no matter what kind of worker I could be, my 'personality' wasn't good enough to work at McDonalds or a supermarket. Some questions I remember were things like "I have aspirations for my future," "I would expect a day off to mourn a pet," and "I understand my place in society."

Even if that were true, FSd is not a feature that is passive before activating it, which means, you MUST manually activate it, if the driver didn't have it, he would have known that, if he thouhg he had it, he wouldn't be able to activate it, because it wasn't there, so he KNOWINGLY got drunk while driving with Drive Assist, which is not FSD, which would have inmediatly detected he was drunk, it has that feature, so the driver had bought FSD, never installed it, and got confident getting drunk with Drive Assist, probably though he had it while drunk, or not, regardless, he getting DRUNK is not Teslas Fault, FSD speciffically requires thAt you keep your hand on the wheels and attentive, because is a BETA software, in which the driver didn't followed, another thing that could have happend, is that the driver told some people that he had FSD, but he didn't, so the passenger didn't know he had it, but told he did anyway, the same with the family, that important part is the DATA, which it show the car didn't had it Installed.

The reason stainless steel is so popular in kitchens is because it can be “renewed.” The chromium in stainless steel reacts readily with oxygen to form chromium oxide, which gives the shiny appearance and protects it from rust. So if it is stained or rusting, use cleaner such as Barkeepers Friend which contains oxalic acid to remove the top layer, and it becomes shiny again.

My view on the weird personality test... Companies want to create a big database of CVs, use AI to create a "score" out of these CVs, then automatically pick the "best" out of that pool based on that score. Then obviously companies hire a third-party to do that database because companies they want to focus on their "core business". And, obviously, those third-party CV catalogues also sell the shite out of that data because they have a gold mine of identifiable individuals and their personality. Welcome to the future!

22:38 These job application personality tests are also very ableist, as they filter applicants out based on their mental health. So not only are these tests hard for people like me, who suffer from ADHD to fill out, as I have to do one for just about every job I apply for, but it also filters out people who have have anxiety, depression, or neurodivergencies. I worked as a supervisor in a call center (sorry) when I was younger. The company gave all applicants one of those psychology tests before hiring. It turns out there was no correlation whatsoever on how a person scored on the test to their job performance. You'd might as well just flip a coin and base your hiring on that.

They waved at each other on the roads, had local 'meet-and-greets'.... Now you don't see that many PT's on the road, possibly because they are ugly gas and maintenance hogs.
