It always amazes me how ancient Greek civilization is. It can only be compared to very few places on earth, like Egypt, Mesopotamia, India and China. It's worth mentioning we're talking about a civilization in 3000BC with art, sports, high-rise buildings and indoor plumbing

That’s where the Olympians and some Titans were born literally; others were born close by: Zeus and Hades on Crete, Hera on Samos, Hephaestus on Lemnos, Apollo and Artemis on Delos, Herakles and Dionysus in Thebes, Aphrodite in Kythira (near the sea of argos), Ares from Thrace, Poseidon on Rhodes or Mantinea Arcadia or Mount Olympus or Mount Othrys or Arne in Boeotia lol and lived in Aegae near modern Politika Kafkala., Hermes in Mount Kyllini in Arcadia or Mount Olympus. A couple of the olympians were demigods.

Shorter than today for sure. Unfortunately we are unsure of their language. Only Minoan Linear A tablets were found in the Cyclades. They probably used it for trade, being under Minoans in 2nd millennium BC.

@wanax tv: You can find also neolithic culture like cucuteni-trypillian culture and the tartaria tablets that shows that pictograms were used in the danubian plains and carpathian mountains much earlier then the harrapan civilisation..so i think the first system of writing was made in the carpathian region.cucuteni culture started around 5500 bce much earlier then the harrapan civilisation...cucuteni culture is famous by the role of women played in the society by the urban development of big cities with big palisades and water moat for protection and for trade routes starting from the north of romania to the cyclades neolithic cultures(see hamangia culture)....sculptures and figurine poterry are more developed then in the harrapan culture. It seems minoans and their cult for the holy bull(minotaurus) has the start in the danubian plains.the discoveries that were made about cucuteni culture show a sofisticated culture very developed and very similar in thinking and attitude with the later civilisation of etruscans or sardinians. i think you should make a history vlog more about tartaria tablets and the cucuteni culture and visit the history museum in bucharest or iasi(romania) or kyev, ukraine to see cucuteni -trypilian culture.you will be amazed by the sofistication and level of democracy and tolerance of this culture, about their religion that have a huge respect towards mother earth. here is some links: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbWGiNd-qbe8cY0.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNFihMWXlr-1kn0.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bsl4f9FyzL6wfY0.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndWdlMaGnpysnnk.html with respect, laurentiu

Another theory like the Indo-Europeans. Behind such stories are hidden purposeful and territorial claims. When something is not mentioned by ancient authors it is simply a theory.

The so called “frying pans” are probably ritualistic objects venerating the great mother sea goddess. You can actually see the genitals marked between the tiny legs and below the great womb, where marine themes (e.g, waves, fish, ships) are often depicted.

Would be the Bronze Age invaders from Asia Minor the same who were conductive to the formation of the Minoan civilization (genetically Balcanic but with cultural traits also attributed to Asia)?
@WanaxTV

It’s hard to tell. They did come from somewhere. When it comes to the Minoans, they likely originated from the original Neolithic Cretans. The area of Knossos was continuously inhabited since Neolithic well into the Minoan palace periods, with slow and gradual development with no violent interruptions recorded.

It's a pity that many statue and miniature of this civilization in the 60' and 70' for the mania of the Rich peoples for the modern abstract art was Stolen and sold on the black market for private use, like prints and today even if we take back them we don't know their use since we dont know the environment where they was found (grave, or other places). Like for the tomb raiders of etruscan graves here in Italy (often local sheperds and marauders) i hate deeply the people Who stole and sell privately something that should be a Commonwealth, they should be charged with 20 years of prison. Thats the reason, also, among the others why we know few about the cicladic civilization, since their locations was looted by tomb raiders in the 60' 70'. Like indy Say "this belong to a Museum". Not to your damned private collection
