My 23 LowRiderST is bone stock and I hate that it doesn't start making steam till 3500. That CycleRama 480MT has my attention, as I want off idle throttle response.....decisions 😅

Amazing torque! I am looking forward to seeing the CR483 results to determine my cam of choice for my 114! I am running identical set up, KW 2-1-2 exhaust w the louvered baffle would be the difference!

I have the 482 in my 124. It rips like a mofo but really needs compression and a good exhaust. Kinda wish I went with the 480mt. On that 482 ya really gotta keep it above 2k at all times.

Wow! Great series. One question Dave, Do you feel the dip in all 3 of the graphs so far is the louvered insert and reduced back pressure? I recently switched from a KW 2-2 Dominator with the spoon inserts (spoon raised 1") and did not have any dip right off idle. I have now gone to the KW 2-1 Outlaw and am going to run a slightly modified spoon insert from my 2-2 Dominator in the 2-1.

It will be a little softer at 2000 rpm’s as seen in the overlay between the 2:2 and the 2:1 as seen in the S&S 475 video. However most people don’t notice the softness in this area when the bike is tuned correctly.

Yes it is a bolt in cam designed to work with stock valve springs.

Yes there are cams that will work for the 131 if you want results similar to this with all low end torque.

It depends on your riding style and exhaust, but the mt would probably work better with the smaller engine. We will be posting the results on the 483 this week.

I wasn’t planning on testing that cam. But if one shows up at my door, I’ll run it. It is a nice low end cam. But due to the increase cylinder pressure, sometimes it will bring on more detonation and more work needs to be gone to the timing tables to keep the engine happy.
