I have a 2018 SGS, I put the legends on, HUGE difference in comfort and handling. Keep the old ones, mine started leaking about 2 years later, I sent to Legends, LIFETIME WARRANTY, had them back within 2 weeks.....OUTSTANDING customer service...Luckily, I kept the factory shocks, i commute on the bike, so I never lost a day..

My son and I last weekend put the rears on. I have a 2015 Street Glide Special and for Christmas I will probably have the front shocks installed but that have my dealer do that. But wow what a difference the rears made

I have a custom 2009 fltr and upgraded to the legends Revo A… I see a little difference but not a lot from stock… I heard him say 1 1/16” measurement at bottom, I’m at 13/16” at 210pds for the 12” eye center to eye center… will set to 2 instead of at 3 and fine tune but no way a night and day difference. I wanted to up grade suspension because the bike is like new and been completely through including a brand new R&R Racing 131” twin cam with a complete Baker DD7 transmission, case and bigger oil pan … this motor is so smooth (and very fast), did replace the oem wheels with new 2020 street glide custom take offs so the ride in itself is very smooth and with oem shocks I could feel the bike’s difference so the legends THEN went on… I will adjust the rebound and see what happens.

Instead of adjusting the jack to fit the second shock you can adjust its preload to lengthen or shorten it, to cleanly line up the bolt.

That button is not for a harder / softer ride, it's for rebound . 1 is a slower rebound then 7 . Listen to him at time 2:55 Set the sag then the rebound after you ride to figure how much rebound you're getting.

Thanks for the vid!! So with the 13 in shock he adjusted it so riding it it will be 12in so it looks just like stock when riding? Any close up pics of how close the bolt actually comes to the pipes? Thanks and keep up the great content!!!!

Are those 4.5 inch pipes? I keep reading about the 13s causing rubbing on axle nut but yours showed none. I wonder if it just varies on how the exhaust is centered. Im about to install and hoping for no issues.

Can you explain how you were able to properly set the sag without taking into account the weight of the two saddlebags and it's contents? That could be 30+ additional pounds of weight.

I have the Revo 13” on my 19 RGS and it hits the muffler on the right side on mine when I’m not sitting on the bike. Good thing the bags cover the muffler.

That doesn't sound right to me. I have the 13's on my 20 RGS and it has a solid amount of clearance. Did you install yourself?

@Bob Stubbs It’s possible that during installation or maintenance that the nut came in contact with the muffler. If that’s the issue that’s okay since its not continuing to happen and its covered up. Legends makes 14s, if they were installed instead of the 13s they will hit and is a potentially a dangerous condition. I hope you troubleshoot and find your resolution.

Why doesnt HD have an option that you can purchase a Road Glide-in fact ALL models-without suspension,seat,handlebars, windscreen,lighting,and most importantly:all engine internals? Then you could customize your bike from day one and dont worry about dumping all the factory stuff.Not to mention PAYING TWICE for it all. Perhaps also unpainted and.....

That’s a good question. I can only conclude that we are suckers to the Harley brand so tolerate the imperfections at purchase and our need to fix things once it’s ours.

You don’t need to fix it. These are performance parts. I find it funny how this type of comment is always brought up about Harley’s, usually to denigrate the bike or the owner, but no one says this when people add performance parts to cars. People put in fancy stereos and speakers in cars, exhaust systems, wheels and tires, tint, under lighting, HID or led head lights, seat, steering wheel, & dash covers, cold air intakes, cams, turbos, tuners, etc. Why do we buy “car brand” that have all junk parts, then spend thousands to fix it?
