I cycled up in 2012, think I will have to go back and try the descent - but not as fast as this. I had to stop the video and have a rest half way down.Awesome.

My dream descent!

GREAT!, this is kick ass - go for it all, peddle hard all the way till JUST before getting on the brakes for every curve. In 41 years of cycling I have always rode as hard as possible DOWN HILL, but only dreamed of descends like this. Man MUST have tapped 65 mph a few times. Must have been “pushing” (spinning) a 54 - 11, at least (typical 53 - 12). While having a blast watching this, I found myself “leaning” into each turn, and wanting to pump as hard as I could out of each curve.

Awesome descent, man, well done. That car at 10:25 fails, and holy crap that was an awesome pass at 11:42!

You were making a lot of risky moves down that hill! Glad you made it down safely!

Heerlijk zo'n afdaling. Wel altijd jammer dat je niet de ideale lijnen kunt nemen, omdat je rekening moet houden met het overige verkeer.

Just amazing, all the way. Like to know if ridden on "sew ups" ? (sounded like it) bike eqquipped with any electronic instruments ? (max speed reached). What a rush to watch, even after a few times.

I've done this road and I'd actually recommend going to Switzerland instead, particularly the Berner Oberland: better scenery, better roads, and less traffic.

Awesome video. That was some descent of this great mountain. How long did it take you to get up it? I will get there one day, also wan to do the Col De La Madone and the Ventoux as well. Love the quality of the GoPro.

WOW. I did this descent a couple weeks ahead of you (Stage 19 day of the Tour) and I did NOT look like you - I was pretty much in a panic! Any tips on smooth descents? I'll never be as fast as you, but I'd like to get down d'Huez without nearly crying LOL!

It is easy to see that your going over 70 mph, how long does it take to pedal back to the start? Really nice scenery but too many cars and trucks.

Hi tomdeloos92, Must know what gearing you were using while hauling ass down this mountain (54 OR 55 - 11?). Was this done on "sew-ups"/tubulars ?. Watched many times over - still a rush. Great skill as much as strength to do this. I still (try to) ride at 55years old, like I did racing when 25 (just now slower, and a lot more pain after). I will keep this one to watch for many years ahead. I got to experiance this (speed) for just a few monents only (over the past 41 years of cycling).
