Cycling - Descent from Guadalest in Spain

A nice gradual descent from Castell de Guadalest to the Motor Museum approaching Callosa, by road bike on the Costa Blanca in Spain.

Very nice video! I did the ascent this summer (really hot, it was 15 PM). I began 4 kilometers before the motor museum and I did 40 minutes of ascent with a VTT. I wasn't really trained :) Thank you for the video and great descent! :)

+Thomas Dedobbeleer Thanks Thomas, yes it can be very hot in summer, but it's an enjoyable (not too steep!) climb and of course a very rewarding descent!

+Dom Staunton Yeah! The ascent is really progressive, a little bit harder at the beginning but then, the percentage stays constant. I did this ascent as a training for the climb of the Tourmalet, the ascent is relatively the same (6-7%) but far more longer ! However, I didn't did it because of the weather! I was really disappointed ! And yes, the descent (after the visit of the beautifull town of guadalest of course ;) ) was really great!

@Zildjian285 - Thanks, it's actually a really nice ascent too! The gradient isn't too steep and it's mostly scenic with plenty of turns and there is generally little traffic. Of course the best bit of the climb is you then get to enjoy the ride back down afterwards :-)

@bradycyr - If you mean just the descent, it's in real time with a couple of short flat or incline bits taken out, so just under 10 minutes. The ascent of that same section takes about 25 mins (steady pace averaging about 15kph). So altogether around 35 minutes ...plus another 10 mins for the obligatory coffee stop at the top :-)
