Kudos on Jonathan's paint job! I've been meaning to make some galvanized steel looking decals for my bike. I the whole frame. I like the look on the whole frame.

Rapha started the Festive500 in 2010. I did my first one in 2012, back then Rapha sent you an embroidered badge. Failed 2013 breaking my collarbone attempting it (blew rear tyre on TT bike while on the skis). Done everyone since then. Being in Australia and working between Christmas and New Year, made it "easier", 42km each way commute. Though 42km in 42C heat (peaked at 47C) was rough. Don't consider it festive, but rather an antidote to the excesses of festive season.

That's a cool/funky setup on his CX bike, although I definitely would've gone with _mini v-brakes_ instead of cantilever for much better stopping power.

I was literally chatting Jimmy last night about the festive 500. Was considering going to a local sports park that has a mile long outdoor track. Not sure how would destroying 310 laps of a track would be but at least it’d be that and fast. 😂

The whole idea of the festive 500 was to get everyone riding outdoors in winter …so I do believe Covid restrictions brought it indoors for that time only ..love your content Ben .. nice Bike build Johnathon., great to see you guys outdoors love the autumn gear you always certainly look the part in your bike gear .. go Johnathan for the sprint .. 🚲 happy bday to your son 🎊 🎂 enjoy your well earnt coffee ☕️

With all the respect and love : correct me Benjamin if I'm wrong but the turbo rides doesn't count according to the original Festive 500 rules - it comes due to the COVID restrictions in order to make the festive 500 happen in that special life situation, so in my book since we have not COVID restrictios back to basics no turbo trainer rides count. Great content keep up the good job!

Well unfortunately, I’ve had a google…… GPS, virtual, and manual activities will count towards the Challenge goal. Please refer to the qualifying activities section for details. There is no minimum time per activity. Activities visible to "Everyone," "Only You" or "Followers" are eligible for this Challenge. To respect activity visibility settings, only activities marked as visible to Everyone will be applied toward leaderboard rankings.

Nothing festive about cycling 500 kms in 8 days LOL 😅 but being in Montreal, no choice but to do it with the Turbo indoors -If you end up doing part of it on Zwift, will you set it up as a group ride so we can join?
