+PeowPeowPeowLasers if I'd have realised he was going to speed up and go past just when it narrowed I would have definitely given him more room. As far as I was concerned he was behind me.

bigblokeonabike sorry buddy I have to agree with peowpeow on this one...I’d also point out its not undertaking it was filtering. He can filter past on your left just the same as you can do it to a slower moving car. You overtook in the same lane as him and left him not much space to clear the bus. Just another day on the roads though...none of us is perfect 👌 no one was injured and no one fell so all good 👍🏻

@@1ninjatiger The thing is, as two wheelers, it's pretty much a standard that we treat an empty lane as two halves and two wheelers pass each other with no problem in a lane. Big bloke gave loads of space to the cyclist. There was an obstacle on the left of the lane, the cyclist being overtaken should have shoulder checked and make sure anyone next to him goes first. Moving from left to right side of a lane is like changing lane for bikes. Just like on a single carriageway when the second car wants to overtake the first car but the third car had already started overtaking. And at 0:16, the speed difference (if stayed constant) would have made big bloke in front of the cyclist by the time they have reached the bus. And look at the end 1:36, he was also trying the same move again as if he doesn't care at all. ps he also runs cameras as well, and quite decent ones. I wonder if he runs a channel.

Roadbiker of course you can treat an empty lane as two halves. But looking ahead at a stationary bus you can see whats going to happen. Bbob never completes an overtake he pulls level. The other guy does have other options but chose to continue. Look at it this way..a manoeuvre is only considered a safe one IF you don’t cause other traffic to have to alter course, speed or make them take avoiding action...that stands true for drivers or cyclists. Had a car tried an overtake there stayed level and left a bike with no space to safely negotiate round the bus..what would we say?

PeowPeowPeowLasers it's not filtering. Filtering is when traffic is moving slowly or is stopped. This was normal road speed and normal conditions. Whether you are lame sharing or not, you must not pass on the left and traffic being overtaken is obliged to allow the overtaking vehicle to complete the manoeuvre. The cyclist in the left not only passed another one on the wrong side, but he caused a collision and could have caused injury. It was his fault entirely.
