I like the fact that Cable in the original cartoon never “reacted” to Jean or Scott, other than simply remarking that he knows about them, and moves on. And how it’s retroactively explained here that he was dismissive of Jean because he knows Jean isn’t his mother, and finds it painful to be around her.

I’m guessing Cable might have some idea how Cyclops sort of “left” both Madelyn and him when things were too much at the end of episode 3 (Understandably, that was a LOT to unpack) and he might be salty about that towards his dad and how mom felt before she died… just a guess though, I’m interested to see them interact more!

@teejaydee85 ur speaking facts, Cyclops wanted no part of his son being taken to the future for a cure whereas Madelyn was willing to let her son go with Bishop to the future for said cure to save his life. At the end of episode 3 Madelyn talks to Cable via telepathy to remember her n Cable held on to that memory of his mom, he had no memory of Cyclops voice before he was taken away so for Cable he prolly assumes Cyclops didn't care about him like Madelyn did but Cyclops actually cared more bc he didn't want his son without his father like he endured. Such a F'd up situation but I'm sure just like in the comics Cable n Cyclops will make amends, Cable will eventually see Cyclops cared so much that he didn't want to abandon his son, they'll work it out as father's n sons usually do just like in real life

If you think thats bad, The entire Summers family is a big tragedy, We dont know of this Cyclops knows of Havoc or interacted with him, and Vulcan showed up last episode, (The red/black spandex dude who pointed a fireblast at Ronins soldiers) and I highly doubt Cyclops knows Vulcan exists. Edit: Just found out that Havoc and Cyclops did infact have an interaction. Havoc is the scrappy lil brother 😂

Well yes and no Scott’s were a little more well dumb in my opinion he talked to his father before he knows his father thinks he and his brother are dead cable on the other hand is a little more justified Scott wasn’t their to say good bye and basically chose to go back to Jean instead of staying with the mother of his son (I say choose because this is a straight up choice same body same kind same memories they are not twins they are the same person up till the switch)

That "no future worth living in" line almost directly mirrors what Cyclops says back in the original season 1 finale when they go to save senator Kelly from the sentinels. Like father, like son. In the episode where Cable grabs Wolverine to make the vaccine, Jean scans his mind and discovers their connection. So in this episode she would have already known their history. Also, Jean is incredibly rude. She literally scanned his mind the moment he shows up. Not even just once but twice.

At 0:30, it's interesting to note that in the comics during the Inferno Saga, baby Nathan recognized Jean Grey as his mother while Madelyne was willing to sacrifice him. "Technically," Madelyne was Jean, indeed, as she was the fragment that Phoenix took to form a physical body while the original Jean was restoring in a cocoon. Eventually, Jean absorbed Madelyne back again. Additionally, in the prelude of Age of Apocalypse, Cable recognized Scott and Jean as his parents and thanked them for giving him a family.

@SosaA11 he changes the timeline he can only blame himself. Plus, his powers come from her. Madeline was siphoning from Jean. I'm also rooting for a timeline where Scott and Jean can just raise their children. They should get the Reed and Sue treatment.
