one of the larger issues with cyclops is their small unit size, it means they stack up way to closely and just get wrecked by even the more common AOE's, combined with thier low health and high energy cost, just makes them non viable

I remember them being better. But of course- cost is a thing to consider. If you can on afford one Wraith for the cost of 2 Cyclopses, that might balance it out a bit. Though I imagine you did that with the 20v30s

I guess it is fair that they are weak. UNSC infantry is excellent meanwhile the only good non dlc banished infantry unit is the hunter,but the brutes and elite rangers kinda suck(brutes being melee and elite rangers not having any kind of tier upgrade) and the suicide grunts are "good" but I cant really consider them good as their purpose is literally to die,they work as a direct counter to infantry,nothing more. Meanwhile unsc flamethrowers are limited to close range but not directly melee and can attack while they moving. Snipers are extremely good without tier upgrades and they can get even stronger with them. So yeah,I guess if u have an overall really strong infantry(even better with cutter,non dlc leader who can get ODST's and Infantry raid) it is fair that one of them kinda sucks while the banished have a shitty infantry but the hunter,the counterpart of the cyclops is way stronger and overall a really good unit.

Since Cyclops are so bad they should’ve gotten shock rounds at tech 2, and maybe a Y ability or a small shield at tech 3. They just have zero competition against Hunters, and even worse they’re shit against vehicles lol.

Take a meg and throw 2 upgraded cyclops and 2 combat tech marines in there. Pretty solid against air and land vehicles

its a shame cause in the halo wars trailer cyclops were bad ass, blowing up grunt squads with their greanade launcher and throwing brutes around for fun. and we got this shitty unit instead. you have to hold their hand until baby cyclops gets his shocky wocky rounds than its a support unit at best. i miss the mega melee mechs from halo wars 1 that would rip the doors off a covenant base with their Y ability and than obliterate enemy tanks with them. oh and they could repair vehicles and buildings!!!

I don't think the Cyclops is suited for killing Wraiths. Maybe try it on lighter vehicles.

i prefer the original ciclops anti-structures and their can cure vehicles in Halo Wars (1) the only unit that can do that whit all are the ingeniers and that is horrible.
