7 жыл бұрынThe great USA pairing of Cynthia and Ron Kauffman earn their second consecutive World bronze medal in Vienna outdoors at the 1967 World Figure Skating Championships. The crowd loved them, and made their displeasure at the marks very clear! This was also the last ever world championships to be held outdoors. Spot Ron Ludington at the end wearing a Stetson to keep warm against the elements!

Эта пара придумала и первой исполнила прыжок -выброс,который давно стал обязательным в спортивных парах. Наша чемпионка Роднина никогда его не вставляла в программу.

Да. Выброс Кауффман. В честь первых исполнителей. Все ведущие пары его исполняют. Роднина делала подкрутку, а выброс не исполняла никогда.

Ah yes, everyone loves a romantic brother and sister pair. Shades of the Will Ferrell movie, Blades of Glory. They did a few tricks so neatly, it would compare with modern pair skaters.

This was 1967 and their lowest marks came from East Germany, USSR, and Poland, no surprise there.

Great pair! Judging always a problem. As I recall, the death spiral sometimes gave the Kauffmanns trouble. Great memories tho.
