BUSHCRAFT FISHING HOUSE - Complete construction of a shelter to survive in a HIGH FLOOD RISK ZONE!

I built this shelter on a wild island to survive far from the stress of the city, here the weather slows down and I feel good! It is a dangerous and floodable area, that is why the shelter is perched 10 feet high! I used many trees broken by the last storm and materials that I found on the island. I'm going to spend a lot of time here and improve my house. Hope you enjoy this video. Stay tuned for the next adventures!

This man has to be not only strong physically, but also very wise too! I admire your craftsmanship! I once built a hut in the woods. The place I built it had magnificently huge boulders, and after building it, it was so fun to keep going out there and camp over night. It certainly wasn't as good as yours, nor do I have skills like you do. But something about being in the wilderness is such a great feeling! I love the videos!! Keep it up man!

It has everything to do with the human connection to nature. All things, from past, present and future, tie into our connection with nature. In the beginning, we were doomed to live as a captive of it. We bled. We hunted. We endured. Until eventually, we advanced our technology, population and craft to the point of overcoming our natural enemy. Today, and further on, we battle it in a different way: we battle to keep it at peace and peace be kept with it. By that, I mean our houses, our cities, so forth. We constantly keep nature from overgrowing our towering structures so that we may endure and outgrow the constantly decaying atmosphere that is nature's beauty. Equally, we seek to preserve it. We seek to allow it to be kept pure and whole in all areas we deem rightfully untouched by man. For the future, we hope to be called back to it. Which is where people like you and this channel come in: the great connection to our biological past as hunter-gatherers. It feels right because it's where we've come from. To be in a place of simplistic living and find the meaning of true sustainability: only what you need to survive. What you experienced, and continue to do so, is the effect of how we were truly meant to live. To find peace in the basic, but bountiful living upon this earth. To be one with nature is to be one with creation itself. Do I think technology is a burden upon humanity? Not necessarily. I think we've begun to strive into territories we ought not delve, but certainly we have our modern marvels to appreciate and be happy about! However, these channels and experiences work so well because: it's so simple and basic...yet, it's how we were made to live. Exercise, Eat, Sleep, and if lucky: multiply. That is our genetic code and design. Being among nature is the closest we get to purest creation, and we love it because of what we create, and what was created for us. Simply put: we belong with nature. Thanks for taking the time to read my lengthy comment, and I hope all the best for you, reader. Be safe, happy holidays, and hope your New Years is spent in celebration, both smart and with merriment! Stop hatin', love more! :)

Fun fact 19:25 there are notches on the bag to open it but this guy knows his MREs so well he knew just where to cut it in order to be able to shake the bag. If he had pulled it open from the notches, he wouldn't have been able to do this. Attention to little details including layouts and scheduling make this guy amazing to watch. This time I sub!

When I was a kid, me and my friends built a shack in the woods. We used to go there all the time, remote, nobody would ever find it. Since it was so quiet round those parts it's still there in perfect condition for almost 8 years. We build it with logs, sticks and a big sheet of tarpaulin. We dug a big deep square hole and used the logs as a border to put the sticks across to make the roof, then put the tarpaulin over it. We even added a little water pipe that would collect rain water from the top of the roof and filter it right into a bucket, stopping the roof from collecting water and collapsing. I still go there to this day and camp out a night or two.

Awesome build man, one little thing I’d change, I build custom fences for a living, wood, pipe, ornamental etc.. id really recommend digging the holes for your support legs deeper, if you get any heavy flooding or rain your structure is going to fall down, if I’m building a 6 ft fence I dig my holes 2 ft deep, I’d recommend atleast going 3 feet or deeper, other than that sweet build man and wish you the best, God bless.

@ValerieJean757

Absolutely 4 feet deep and dig the holes much wider too; 20 to 24 " wide holes. Put four 6 foot length rebar into each hole and then run wire mesh for concrete in each hole and make it to reach the same height as the hole or just a wee bit under. Mix concrete in a wheel barrow and fill each hole. If this is going to be needed to hold up under raging flood waters it's going to need to be strong. There may also be strong winds and torrential rains at the time. So will need cross bracing. Reinforced roofing that can withstand the winds and also not leak. Build the floor strong. Flooding is unpredictable now days and so may need to be built even higher off ground. Have dome blankets, a bed, supplies and enough fuel to keep the rocket stove going and have a couple hundred tea candles maybe and tine cans.
