Same was wondering about that that’s so cool but still be able to take it out. Looking for a bolt action wood stock in 223 that can top load with iron sights- this is like the only option I can find. Just a fun plinker gonna really look into this

I'm going to miss the old 527 series, but I like some of the 600s improvements. The lux reminds me of the K98, with a good blend of modern engineering and retro finishing.

Very nice looking. I love the CZ 527 and wish they weren't discontinuing it in favor of this. But I want one of these too. Would be nice if they switched the threads to standard 5/8"x24. I'm not aware of any muzzle devices that use 15x1.

I have a local FFL dealer ready to order me a Lux in 308 as soon as his distributor has one in stock. I really like my CZ rifles and my 557 Sporter has become my favorite deer rifle. I remember when folks said they'd never buy a 557 when the 550 was discontinued. Personally I really like European-styled rifles. The walnut Bavarian stock, factory sights, factory-threaded barrel, and modular design with the ability to change barrels are all very appealing to me. I'm ambivalent about the polymer magazine just hope it functions properly and holds up. The steel magazine in my 527 works great, but the two extras I bought were junk and I returned them. CZ had some trouble with their steel magazines. My two concerns are 1) available, affordable barrels in more calibers to actually utilize the modular concept, 2) CZ produces and supports this model for a long time. The short life-span of the 557 is concerning. I'm still looking forward trying one out.

407 / 5.000 Resultados de traducción Hello Michael Westmoreland, I would like you to explain to me if the barrels of this particular weapon wear out a lot, it is worrying, this manufacturer is good, but nowadays the weapons are made to last a short time, and all of them are made of polymers, nothing of Wood, I particularly like wooden weapons, can you confirm if the barrels wear out with a few shots Greetings from Catalonia, Ferràn.

Thanks for the great video. Trying to decide if I’d like to buy one. I’ve had a couple CZ550s over the years. A lux in 6.5x55 and an “American” in 9.3x62mm. I like this carbine version and the updated traditional euro stock. We will see. I’d love it in 8x57.

Nice rifle. Is that RWS ammo? Looks like they package them like Norma in those very useful 5 round break away shell holders. Perfect for carrying spare ammo in a pocket while hunting. Debating ordering one of these rifles, either the Lux in 30-06 or the Alpha in 6.5 Creedmore.

Here in the USA you would have the monicker‘Karen’. A. If the scope mount is so fragile that picking it up by the scope causes a problem then you need a different scope mount. B. Drops it on table? Bumps it and it ‘falls’ about an inch on a soft plastic fold-out table. Unless it is constructed of butter then no harm done. B. Flags the firing line? Never happens. Closest I saw was holding the rifle 60 deg above horizontal. No one was flagged. C. Hand over muzzle? A finger tip actually. While the rifle was empty and the bolt was open. Rolls eyes….(me). Have a wonderful day unnecessarily trying to rain on other people’s parades. Hope you live far from me.

Buy CZ 557 Lux of course! What is important - its very accurate, beautiful wood, great ergonomics, bolt is really OK, trigger - great, proven quality, with no issues opposite to CZ600's affair (call for loose barrel lockup - applied fixing just killed the only advantage of CZ600 - easy user barrel switch, which is now fixed, and only producer can chanege it in service). More - CZ557 is full metal - I've already bought one of the last in shops with fixed magazine in 308 Win.- for me its better solution and more traditional - hunter gear. Fantastic balance due to 52 cm long barrel, agile, for resonable&fair price. One more - its all metal - no plastic if its important to you. If you want to pay for some gadgets (already blocked by CZ) called by marketing - improvements - it your choice and money tho.

The 557, like mine, is a push feed with a Sako/M16 style extractor, but the new 600, like the one shown here, is an innovative new controlled round feed that incorporates a patented bolt/extractor design. It’s subtle, but I’m betting firearms manufacturers everywhere are taking notice. It’s like the difference between the SKS and the CZ 7.62x39 designs. CZ is superior but the Czech’s weren’t Russian🤷🏻

This is a European made rifle with European hunting design ethos so it's no surprise to see it longer in the stock which can enable to gun to be shortened if required. whether it be cultural, material dependent or simply a case of short is cheap and light, US rifles almost always seem to have short stocks compared to European competitors. any non adjustable timber stock is better made long so it can be shortened than vice versa and when advising clients, I don't take any rifle seriously if it wont even get close to fitting them or their needs. this is a massive topic which I will happily discuss in detail when paid for my time as it's something I see so frequently causing problems for shooters.

Here in the USA especially out West their lack of hunting calibers will be the worst offering from a company we loved. Don't even bother CZ USA bringing them over we're not buying this lipstick on a pig offering of this new series.

I understand your disapointment, but I see a possibility here with modularity cz went with, like other major players in europe has already done. Machine shops especially in USA with your more sensical gun laws, will be able to produce boltheads for obscure and rare calibers, unlike blaser for example where the production of one bolthead requires alot of work, these are simpler turn bolt design. But I think you are right, almost none of the european manually operated hunting rifles have been very popular in north America. I wish for a day cz would put 550 back into production, with the quality these new designs get.

Very Nice Rifle, 56 mm scope you say??? Totally not Necessary, thats a European Thing. Objective diameter, divided by the power setting, equals the Exit Pupil size. The human Eye can only take in so much light, even a 16 yr old Kids Eye cannot dialate wide enough to use the Light Transfer ability of a 56mm lens. 40 to 42 mm is way plenty enough.

What they dont tell you is that they advertised this gun as being modular and being able to switch out the barrels. Which is when I pre ordered mine. Turns out the people at CZ issued a recall due to the possibility of a catastrophic failure.. I have since reached out to CZ to request a refund of my UNFIRED rifle. The customer service people told me they will not issue a refund because they haven’t advertised it as being modular in over a year - which is when I pre ordered my rifle. I bought it not knowing anything was changed or that the guns as unsafe. Truly disappointing. I will NEVER again support this company or purchase a Gun from them ever again.
