By just name alone, it's obvious that this gun is derived from the highly revered competition gun Shadow 2 of CZ. That said, pistols have made many competition shooters crazy due to their high-end performance without being too expensive.
Now, it's evident that people are expecting big things from the compact iteration of the Shadow 2. Honestly, I was also excited about what this gun could bring to the table. Now that I've already tried using this pistol, it's time that I give you my assessment about it and let you know the things that you probably missed out on this wonderful weapon.

You did a very amazing video, but if you did everything with the gun, why didn't you record it? Instead of showing clips from other people's session, it's more believable when you show us yourself. Handling the gun as opposed to using clips from every other people.

@@stewie84 Agreed 👍🏾 Saying that his experience with the gun is this. And that but yet still he has no footage of it. I just put an recommend for the channel. Don't tell me about stuff. You have no experience with all he does is look for videos on KZfaq. And then does the review to his voice? A lot of channels are doing this now.

I just had mine fully customized. Mk3 firearms in las Vegas. Went SAO, ported, lok gridlocks, lok magwell the trigger job they did is outstanding 0 take up and super short reset. And full tuning on the springs. Highly recommend MK3. Now just need an sro or the holosun comp.

@johnnysee91 it was about 1400 all together. I felt that these guys did a tremendous job. It shoots and feels so much better then before. I would do it again certainly. I had to save up a little to do it , but they did a great job.

I'm torn with this pistol. . Manual safety which I'm not crazy about but with I'm sure a wonderful trigger pull, made possible in part to not having a decocker.

Yes it’s gorgeous but for carry a decocker I think I would prefer.

Thank you. My only issues is not having a decocker option. I’m okay with lowering the hammer, but I don’t want my daughter to get in the practice of doing it.

Agreed I own SP01 Tac , P01 , and P07 all decocker versions will not purchase until a decocker version is available.

Why? I'm not clowning I'm asking seriously? Decockers fail. That's a fact. When you decock your own and have it DA for the first round with the thumb save on but still on in the chamber you can't be safer. Unless I'm missing something. Some people may see this as redundant but you have one in the chamber and have a harder first pull plus thumb safety.

@@OGRYDAthe only issue I can think of in that scenario is, with safety on it stops the trigger, but if it’s dropped and hammer is cocked then it could fire when dropped. Yes you can say well don’t drop it but I don’t think people intentionally drop their guns but it does happen.

So, what is the reason for a DA/SA with a safety and no decocker? Something to do with competition? For competition would one not use a SA full size? My CZ and Sig have DA/SA with decoker and no manual safety. I was excited about it, but this is a deal breaker for me. Cheers, Tony

So far I’ve had 0 issues with mine. The safety suck on this thing. I also changed out the DA/SA to just a SA trigger.

Why did you change it out to single action only with a 3 lb trigger on single and safeties that absolutely suck! CZ MISSED THE BOAT! THIS PISTOL SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN OMNI VERSION IF ONLY THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT PISTOL!

I’m really confused with people talking about no safety block. No decocker. Why is the shadow 2 so popular in competition then. Just ignore the safety. Keep the gun half cocked which makes it drop safe. Some really nice upgrades by Cajun gun works if that tickles your fancy. What I really like is rocking a competition and when done put shadow 2 away and take the compact. Same platform which is if you not bad at competition then you’ll feel more confident with the compact version.

People Must have Forgotten How long The 1911 was carried in The Military civilians now everything is unsafe . I like a hammer fired Double Action ,more than a striker Fired with only a blade.

@@MARCHOFTHESAS when it’s down it’s actually resting on the back of the firing pin. Floating as such. Any hit will ultimately hit the firing pin. In half cock it’s only position to move is backwards, hence physically impossible to move forward, the double action on hammer down or half cocked is exactly to same pull weight. Hopefully this makes sense and happy to help if you need anything else answered.

In 1910 a grip safety saw added to the 1907 to become the 1911 for this very reason. The Israel's developed their own draw for this reason... in auster conditions a carry cun will be subjected to the last thing you want is an exposed firing pin that has no block to prevent accidental discharges..... how many professional shooters have a negligent discharge with the shadow 2?

I would put this gun when cajunized against anything out there. I got the first one that was ported and Completely tricked out by Cajun gun works. First one of its kind. Extremely easy to tack drive shots in the same hole at 25' . Bonus, at $2400 it will outshoot any Staccato. Mine is pulling 2.2 S/A and 5.4 D/A.
