I agree he is a National Treasure, it's is a huge shame he has passed away. I would have been honoured to have attended one of his live concerts.

I was a child when I listened to his songs and watched his concerts. A brilliant artist. You feel chills listening to it. A very talented music artist. He could make a career abroad. He created in Poland during the times of communism. These days they called "Behind the Iron Curtain"

Thank for your reaction, bravo Absolutely listen to his Cztery sciany swiata in the Live version from Sopot Festival 1974 and Inside I'm Dying, in English, with Mahavishnu Orchestra. And also a brilliant piece Com uczynil. There you will hear Niemen's progressive genius. I knew Niemen personally since 1968. He was a wonderful man, humble, kind, not arrogant. And he was very, very hard-working, so he created dozens, if not hundreds, of great songs.

@@Johnconte786 You will not regret it. Did you know that Niemen also created graphics for album covers himself. At a time when few people had heard about computer graphics, Niemen, in his 45m2 micro apartment in Warsaw, created a music and computer studio, unique for those times, especially in communist Poland. Often I met him in his studio. Remember: Cztery ściany swiata, Live Sopot 1974 version - you will see him live with a wonderfully used Mellotron, a traditional Hammond and with a brilliant drummer, barely 21 years old.

@@Johnconte786 hahaha, thanks. I am 73 years old, when I met Niemen he was singing in a club in Italy in 1968, already as an outstanding Polish musician, in his band he had great jazz players like Nahorny on sax. I was still a high school student, so much younger, but he talked as equals. He was such a normal person. Surprisingly, despite his hippie image like all of us, and despite the music he created, he never took drugs or drank. And yet the cancer finished him because he did not agree to invasive treatments. Also know that he composed the music for all the songs himself, and the lyrics are also his own or those of famous Polish poets.
