If you get a chance to re-watch the game again, notice how much Russell hits other players without the refs swooping in to help - plenty of times. It is playoffs basketball - Lakers players are just mad they didn't get all their challenges right.

How does the line get drawn? Act like it’s coincidental, hit someone you don’t like in the face after the shot. True defense either blocks it, steals it before going up and if those fails can only go straight up. What happened to that rule when the defender can go straight up, swing and hit a face….thats a foul

I agree definitely, I just don’t like the call being reviewed to coincidental because a good actor is gona find a way to hit his opponent in the face and act coincidental
