Prakash is the go to place when it comes to pure veg maharashtrian snacks. It serves delicious food from 75 years in Girgaon and 50 years at Dadar.
Hotel Prakash is really famous for Sabudana vada, thalipeeth, piyush, aluwadi etc. This is now one of my most favourite place for snacks. Raj Thackeray, Sachin Tendulkar, Asha Bhosle, Nitin Gadkari amongst other celebrities relish the food at Hotel Prakash, Dadar W. 😊Hi Alka!, One more great vlog! I guess i had some snacks long time back but don't remember. But after watching your vlog i think i should visit the place soon! I liked the Kothimbir vadi, Piyush. I would also like to taste the Sabudana vada.Why didn't you had it? Veg Marathi Thali was awesome! I liked the rava kheer as well. I too like the kheer thick. Nice description in the description box. Hotel Prakash is a household name for us. Going there since my childhood til date. Kothimbir Vadi is the best. Also being a Thali lover, their limited Veg Thali is stomach filling and resonably priced. Thanks Alka for sharing this age old place.

Hey Alka, I had been there long time back. No doubt all their snack items are good. Only thing that I noticed was their ambience. It's the same for years, no updation. But food no doubt I had loved. Had never tried their thali though. Let's see, maybe in the coming day's would visit their and taste the thali. Hope you too enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

Since this is brahmin's hotel decency and simplicity to hogi hi.taste also.they won't add to much masala and onion ,garlic but it is simple and satwik food. City me kuchh Brahmin hotel hone hi chahiye.isase positivity jarur badhegi.there will be always perfect discipline . Brahmins ke upper jalanewale also agree karenge ke ye hotel bahot achha hai.

Hello again Alka, just saw this video right now :) FYI I had been to Alka last year when I came to Bombay. One must say the food standards are the best, still comparable as we have been served for the past so many years. The staff is polite, food is great...and I must add that, there is nothing to beat the Maharastrian cuisine and hospitality when it comes to food and entertainment. Years back as a young man staying in Dadar we would go to Prakash if we wanted to be insulted. Both the owner and the staff were extremely rude and obnoxious. I hope things have improved....

Only problem with this restaurant is stubborn attitude of the owners. Now, when every small and big joint is accepting digital payment The Prakash are still insisting on Cash Only system. It is irritating.

Kothmir wadi mein kothmir kam aur besan jyada hai.. not right mix-up.. also it goes good with green chutney and not sweet imli khajoor chutney.. thali achi dikh rahi hai
