Lovely. This type of food needs more patrons, more and more restaurants should serve these thalis. I am told that there are several other typical Marathi items eaten in households. Personally i like Amti a lot.

100% agree- simple, tasty, not heavy on ghee or oil and very balanced, which you can have everyday without any worry. And all ingredients and veggies are sourced from nearby places . Love Maharashtrian food!

सही कहा , देखा जाए तो हिंदुस्तानी खाना ऐसा ही है l ये तो मीडिया वाले है जो कुछ भी दिखाते है आप अगर पंजाब के गांव जाओ वहां किसी घर पर बटर चिकन नही बनता सिंपल दाल रोटी चावल चटनी आचार। मुझे तो महाराष्ट्र के गांव का खाना बहुत अच्छा लगता है खास तौर पर चटनी भाकर एक नंबर। जय हिन्द जय महाराष्ट्र 🙏🇮🇳

Bharli Vangi Bhaji at Prakash is also very tasty.Also varan-Bhat should have cow ghee on it.Owner of prakash should add ghee in menu.

Hi Kunal, very happy to see you cover maharashtrian thali. Dalimbi usal, pithla are highlights of maharashtrian food. Varan bhaat is an emotion and if you have ghee (tup) and nimbu on it then it goes to next level making it divine, and also if you have rassa of usal or any bhaji with it, then you dont need anything else. Today indrayani rice is famous especially in pune area and bhaat made up of it is too good, world class, i hope mumbai restaurants will add in their menu soon.

Being a vegetarian, I am not at all complaining that you are following the Shravan protocol so diligently Kunal Sir 😀. Like you said, even I always thought Prakash was famous for its snack items, but the thali seemed to be great as well. Batata bhaaji and puri seemed to be tempting. You should please try and visit Metkut near Ghantali Temple in Thane (West) which has developed a cult fan following for home style Maharashtrian food. Not only from our Konkan side, but you even get Maharashtrian fare from other parts of the state like Vidarbha and Marathwada. Would be glad if you do a video there.
